I don't think it has been a good 6 months for the Caravan Club.

First of all we had the farce of COTY that was enough to put off anyone thinking of taking up caravanning. And not forgetting, of course, how to take a caravan up an impossible muddy bank so that you can remove the back end in the process.

Then there was the magazine change to the unreadable waste paper that it now is.

This was followed by the change to the website that is acknowledged as being pathetic and not fit for purpose - but with no apparent 'repairs' to it other than a very rapid change of club name.

Finally the debacle of the name change, logo change and enormous expense incurred for no benefit, a topic that has really got members back's up.

It's hard to imagine what the next fiasco will be but I guess there will be one.

Don't you feel inspired to be included as a pioneer in the simplification of the club?

A total revamp of HO so the head honchos can work "in the manner they are used to". Follow the public sector mantra, encompass the fringes but ignore the basics.

All has not gone well as you say. I suspect a better approach would have been if it ain't broke don't fix it.

What's next? The new season awaits and I'll be out there enjoying touring. That's what's next. The Club can do what they like - it matters not a jot.

Spot on Tw, it's a tool to be used, no more no less.

The main sites will still be full, it won't change the majority of people wanting to get away to site that they can trust, knowing that quality and cleanliness is practically guaranteed

With respect, you have missed out the Satifaction survey.  The one that the club kicked into the long grass and then concluded that all leisure vehicles were equally wonderful but the graphical presentation the "data" was beautiful.

Who approved the name change, guess those faceless committee members from the centres who get a minority of attendances but a majority in voting through significant changes. They should be ashamed this will always be THE CARAVAN CLUB

Spot on TW, sites will be the same, bookings will be the same!

Who cares about the name change, COTY, the magazine. Do any of these really impact on your stay on site?

If anyone does feel they do affect you stay away please come on here and say why? (serious question)
