Site Rules

I have seen various comments on this forum recently, but rather than make my own comments I thought I'd consult the Club's Site rules first.

Having tried and failed to find them, I used live chat and sure enough a link was sent to me to read the rules.

The problem comes when I try to access them myself without said link because they are just not visible. Do others have the same problem?

Surely it's something which should be easy to access, especially for newer members, non-members and of course, as a refresher for the more forgetful - like me?

Kennine is quite correct .  We fall into the pattern as that of Deleted User User, and have met with very little in the way of confrontation.

There have been times, however, when we have observed the odd discord between other visitors, but fortunately nothing serious.  For ourselves, and very rarely, we have only spoken to another camper when his/her behaviour has been a significant threat to our property.  And this can be done in a non-confrontational way that enables both sides to amicably resolve the problem.  Not all "offences" are deliberate acts of being antisocial.

Good post Le Touriste. As you indicated, It's always possible to resolve issues in a Non-confrontational way.   In nearly 40 years of Caravanning I have never had to raise my voice to anyone on site. A quiet word is all it takes to resolve any issues.
The one thing I would never do is to snitch about another customer to the On-Site staff. That's a absolute NO NO as far as I'm concerned
I also believe that there are no bad dogs or bad children. Just a few bad parents and owners who can spoil the camping experience for other customers.  But if the site staff are on the ball, as most are, that site is a pleasant place to spend our leisure time.

K !  Something you & I agree on.......smile

(It would have to be a last resort before I did so, once in 30 years I have after witnessing what amounted to domestic abuse taking place).

Rules are so much easier to follow and 'manage' in my opinion when we all take responsibility and set that crucial example. I've witnessed occasions when inappropriate actions have taken place and many transgressors wait for the oportunity to do 'their' own thing. Must be difficult and frustrating if issues are not witnessed or reported to those best situated to address them. We must all take at least a little  responsibility if only to emphasise our best examples of maintaining standards and rules.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your feedback. You can find the site rules here: https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/uk-sites/club-sites/club-site-rules/

However, I fully appreciate these are hard to find so I have fed this back to both the website team and UK Sites team for them to review.

Thank you for reporting this Ro.  I think it is important that members are clear about the way sites function.  I have seen examples this holiday of folk who just don't seem to be aware of some of the parameters.

Another document that might be useful to make easier to find is the information about Cancellations and Amendments.....

https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/uk-holidays/useful-information/how-to-book-a-site/cancellations-and-amendments/

......according to the link, is is a sub of 'How To Book A Site', but there doesn't seem a route to get to it..... unless I have missed something!

Best wishes

David
