I consider myself a Campervanner, so do I no longer fit in with the "better" club. Prior to rebranding the differences never crossed my mind.

I have spoken with a number of members about the rebrand, not one of them is happy with it.  Before taking such a huge step and spending an equally huge amount of members' money we should, at least, have had an opportunity to vote on whether we approved of it.  How many times have we seen comments in the Club magazine telling us that it is OUR club, that we should all take a greater interest in what is going on, in and with it?  As far as the rebrand is concerned we were told nothing about it before the deed was done.  Not only were we, the members, kept in the dark but a warden told me that they were only told about it the same day that it was revealed to the membership.  Why all the secrecy?  Didn't anyone think that such secrecy may have prompted thoughts of misdeeds within the hierarchy? After all, in recent years, some of the Club sites have had their names changed, requiring new signage? Then the colour of the livery was changed, requiring more new signage. Now the name of the Club has been changed, requiring even more new signage. What has been the cost of all of these changes? How many other changes are planned in the near future? Has the same printing company been employed on all three changes? Does anyone within the hierarchy have any links with that/those companies? I am not the only member who has thought about this. Why didn't someone within the hierarchy think the same way before these changes were made? The membership should have been consulted before the decision to spend such a large amount of money was made.  I respectfully suggest that we should revert to the former name with the cost of such a move being borne by all of those who were complicit in the rebrand.

What complete nonsense.

May I respectfully suggest people climb down from the high horse, get real, accept the change (like it or not) and get on with touring.
A tiny minority of members coming on CT moaning about it isn't going to achieve anything apart from providing amusement for more sensible and open minded folk.

We're all still as welcome as we were before. A lot of money spent no doubt, but what's done is done so just get used to it.

Surely there's more important things to worry about like the new shade of white paint used on the pitch marker pegs, or the change in the brand of toilet rolls in the toilet blocks, or the leaflets in the information rooms not being in alphabetical order.

Wake up, smell the beans and move on.

It is only a tiny minority of the membership, and a few non members who post on CT,so any comments are from posters are by people who care about what a huge waste of money the "new company since Feb 2017"has been, but the silent majority of members seem ,by the comments made by plenty of people on sites, to be Very unhappy about the waste of money that was spent for a nil return

You need to address your life style choices 🤦, like a lot of other people who think along the same lines .

i'm thinking of the vastly increased availability , when you've all left .

Hi all - I'm jumping in again to address the comments made by Quakerboy. Thanks for your valid opinions and joining the discussion.

The change in name and logo were based on extensive feedback and research and in consultation with the Committee, as the representatives of your Membership. To consult with over 1 million Members is neither viable nor practical hence us having a Committee of representatives.

We’re embarking on a journey of investment in the future of our Club & as Nick has spoken about at length over the past few months, there was a need for strategic change and a need to review the presentation of the brand and image so that all sectors of the Membership feel they are represented fairly.

As I said in my previous post, everyone is welcome on our Sites and we hope to see you out there soon.

Thanks all

Helen
