In my recent renewal notice I see that my fee has gone up from £46 per year to £48 per year.  This is a 4.35% increase.  When inflation is running at 0.3% this makes for an increase that is 14 and a half times that of inflation.  And yet there apparrently is no need for an explanation of this hike in the renewal premium.   Can anyone give me an explanation before I put pen to paper with an official complaint.

Possibly but as a member of the C&CC Ialso get their magazine and if you think the CC magazine is bad then ignore theirs.

We get that too......and they both go in the bin at the same speed.

(I think I'll take "possibly" as a No......Smile)

There is an option for all those that disapprove of the annual fee. Instead of moaning about it on the forum, go to the AGM and bring the subject up directly to those that run the club. Let the hierarchy know 1st hand how you feel. better still put yourselves forward for the committee.

Sorry Helen.......another non-response I'm afraid.

When will CC staff actually be able to answer members' questions, without having to resort to management-speak mumbo jumbo that doesn't actually say anything, that they have been given by some faceless non-caravanning manager?

And to say that the magazine is worth £40/year is, frankly, an insult to members' intelligence.

I would be embarrassed and angry if I were made to pass on such dribble.

That may be your opinion but that does not mean you are correct. Some of us like the magazine and it probably is superior to the commercial magazines but that again is opinion rather than fact.

If the magazine compares reasonably well with those magazines then bearing in mind people pay that price for them the comparison is reasonable.

...do you really think the club mag compares favourably with, say, MMM or Which Motorhome...?

the CC magazine MH 'tests' are anything but.....total cop out, never seen anything remotely critical in any test over the past 7 years of reading it....in the advertisers' pockets as you suggest.
