So Moulesy......are you saying that you are happy with the inflation busting increases then? (Starting to feel like Paxman trying to get an answer out of Michael Howard here!)

If so, you really are becoming a fully fledged member of the "CC (who can do no wrong) fan club" aren't you?

Ian, you're sounding more and more like a politician ....answering a question with a question.

Coming or going.....Yes or No?

yes, +1

they usually are the ones who hides their true feelings by answering a difficult question with another question. It's been well documented

It can be argued that the display of machismo can be displaced anger over an inability to handle aspects related to one’s social and cultural responsibilities and a difficulty in taking responsibility for the assumed role assignment that a male is expected to integrate into one’s personal, social, familial and work behavior.” -Cervantes (2006, p.216)

Oh and yes membership fee good all round value with many benefits

Ian, have you not read my post above? Have you not noticed my criticism of several aspects of the CC? It's no good you trying the usual tactic of someone who disagrees with you being in the "CC can do no wrong camp". It just won't wash. But, yes I pay the "inflation busting" (er ... £2) subscription fee increase so that I can carry on using club sites and, especially CLs. I'm actually very relaxed about the £2 increase to be honest, let's face it, less than the cost of a pint.

If I was so exercised about it that I felt the need to constantly complain I wouldn't have signed up for another year. But I'm not and I have. How about you? Undecided

I'm beginning to feel like I'm at a Rovers' match. How does that song go? "Oh, it's all gone quiet over there......!" Laughing

Not really anything to do with avoiding the question, Moulesy......more a case of avoiding the braying bunch who just try to shout down anyone who dares to criticise their favourite organisation. Bit surprised at you joining with them, to be honest.

Anyway, I probably will rejoin this year but, like many it seems, we will need to think about it a lot more. Unlike earlier years when we would renew without thinking about it, we now have to consider just how many of their sites we will use (it get's less and less each year, due to price) and whether we will book a ferry / tunnel crossing with them. Insurance doesn't come into it, because they are way too expensive.

As you say, you have also highlighted many other aspects of the Club that a lot of people aren't happy with.

Many of the other things the Club offers you can usually find easiliy enough elsewhere. People access this web site without being members. You have to start to question the benefits of membership.
