Is it a rip off?

Hi I have a rant to get off my chest

Just booked a site for 21 nights for an eye watering £540!   After I got back on my feet I was informed that Caravan and Motor home club have increased their Easter fees this week two weeks early.  Why I ask. even the management were embarrassed and thought it were shocking.

I spent 5 nights last week on a fabulous caravan and camping club site in heart of Northumberland with all the facilities and with over 60s discount £8 pn!

After only just re-joining I cannot  see the benefits of staying with  C&M club prices are beyond out reach.

I think you can use the electricity in your van for that? Have we had that particular complaint before?

I checked back, must have been BB but it wasn't ironing - it was 'irony'.

"i don't ........ have a 'black book'."

Well, that does surprise me, BB. You use that phrase so often that I was under the impression you considered it an essential piece of kit for the dedicated CTer! laughing

Still , as you say, back to the OP, I think it is increasingly clear, since the poster has not come back to name either the "eye watering" CAMC site or the "£8 a night" C&CC site, that the whole thing was just yet another wind up to give those who take the opportunity, another bandwagon to clamber on! undecided

M and I were having a little leg pull between us, you felt like you were missing out and had to stick something in....and IMHO a bit nasty and totally untrue...

no, i really don't do nasty, whatever you think, it's too easy, I'd rather have a little more interaction than  'oh, miss, he played the man not the ball.....'

ive picked you up on it and now you're hurt wink

ring any bells? such a repetitive process on so many threads.

this one was nice, calm and friendly, and then 'the above'..

btw, I guess you heard that one on Match of the Day, did you?

and as you've brought it up, ever played the ball (any size or shape), for real? do tell.

C'mon folks, remind yourselves what banter means on a forum. No need for insults or nit picking, just keep things lively. I'm enjoying following this, don't want yet another closed thread eh?wink

Children - children, why is it that when I go away for a short while I come back and find all sorts of mayhem going on in my absence?

Can you not behave yourselves ?

Two little boys who claim to be teasing one another whilst others around them start getting upset as they know not what is what!

Behave yourselves!

JK, I don't want it closed either (nor really any thread) but, with respect, the MO is the same every time....

earlier, CY made a 'dreadful CT forum faux pas' and used a collective noun, albeit in jest and with no malice that I could see.

within a few short minutes (and it was damn quick) we had the same posters all protesting and complaining about 'bad form'....not to mention the fact that they all be hurt, insulted, fet it unnecessary or whatever.

upthread, a few other posters (including Rocky btw) mentioned I'd made a good play on words, where I was taking the steam out of CY's comment...

a bit of friendly banter with M and alls well you think....

but no......it can't be left there by.......(fill in the blanks.)

ive reported this and the rest of my post (which would have no doubt 'upset' someone) to Ro to save anyone else the bother.
