Just had a letter today from the club. Opened it to find a letter stating I have now been a member for ten years and as a thank you in with the letter was a sticker which showed ive now been with the club for ten years. If this is how the club wishes to thank members they can stick it where the sun don't shine. Would it not be better to say hey thanks for being with us for ten years and here's a voucher for £5 off your next stay. So miffed ive stopped my automatic subscription

I expect nothing from any company other than what I’ve paid for. I give no loyalty & as soon as they let me down I bail, I’d not want any recognition for service to them, I find it amusing that some folk are really that quaint😊

CAMC being an example of that I think, Rocky. 🙁

Unfortunately for you your little protest is worthless. The club has 350,000 members with new members joining every day & caravan & M/H sales bouyant. Even if you didn't renew at all, others would be taking your place.

And 10 years of membership is absolutely nothing on here, there are members with 45 years plus continuous  membership.....

We have been family members on and off for nearly 50 years...

The "Club" offers good sites and a range of services & membership benefits. Take them or leave them.....

But lots of customer facing / customer friendly companies do give freebies to regular customers - and find that it's good business practice.

I wouldn't resign membership in a huff if they didn't , but I think the Caravan Club could sensibly make a goodwill gesture after ten and twenty years membership and so on. It would make the members feel good at very little cost.

Even my barber gave me a loyalty card yesterday- come there ten times and I get a free haircut.

Surely this is only about the club getting advertising out there to other potential members? If the club sent a sticker out that just said something like "Join the Caravan Club" no one would put it in their car / caravan / motorhome. To personalise it by showing that someone has been a member for X number of years is likely to have the opposite effect. Many members will feel proud of the fact and wish to display it. The advert for the club is then out there for all to see. Added to this there is the underlying suggestion that the club must be good if someone has been in it for X years and may persuade a potential new member to join.

I have stickers on my car for NT, NWT, WWT and my old regiment and I don’t suppose they get a second glance, so as a recruiting tool they probably have little value.  If I go onto a property owned or run by one of said organisations they are an aid to entry/parking

I've got a sticker for the Scottish NT but I also got a reduction on membership costs after being a member for x number of years and reaching a great age....(well I think that's what you call it wink)

I originally joined CC when I had a trailer tent in 1981. Was a member until around 16 years ago and rejoined 14 years ago. I didn't get a 10 year sticker which does not upset me at all. I have had good value for my membership. A better reward would be a free night for every hundred nights. laughing

I'm rapidly approaching 66 and I am not sure what's great about it! I think of the riddle of the Sphinx!

I don't think many people join the CMC with the expectation of getting a loyalty bonus, I have been a member for 38  years and not seen one or expected one. Whilst it might seem a nice idea to get a little present, beyond your much longed for window sticker, that cost has got to be met from somewhere and I think all those fivers would be better spent being reinvested in the site network.
