Club Together will be hosting Ask the Expert with our Social Media Manager, Graham on September 12 at 6pm.

Graham will be here to answer your questions about social media at The Caravan Club, and will be giving advice on how you can engage with The Club via its new social channels.

This year The Club has launched its Facebook, Twitter and Instagram profiles to join the ranks of Club Together and YouTube, and this is your chance to find out how social media is developing at The Club and how you can get involved.

Start submitting your questions here which will be answered LIVE on September 12 from 6pm – 8pm

Good evening

A staff member recently posted that 89% of all online adults in the UK have a social media account .

I am interested from an academic point of view if this is referenced from a credible source and what that source was

Hi Fysherman, thanks you for your recent posts. As I understand the figure that you refer to is from data from the Global Web Index, which is one of the sources we use for research and social media trends. Just checking now and is seems that they now are quoting 93% of people online have at least one social media account. I have copied a couple of useful links below. Hope that helps. Kind regards. G.

Thank you Graham.

Are these sources you would be happy to reference at level 6 or 7?

Thanks for your time.

Which is the most popular contact via social media with club members?

Club Together of course - this is our original social media channel. 350,000 registered users. Do you want to know what the second one is? :)

Not sure what you are refering to with the levels Fysherman but Global Web Index is data referenced and used by most major brands and social media agencies.

Forget my last question Graham. I was referring to presenting the figures and using them as a reference source for a level 7 Masters Degree (MBA) I am considering doing

Thanks again for your time.

Why is there no page feed available from the Club's facebook page? Is this a change of functionality by facebook or the way the Club has set it up?

Ok, the penny has dropped and I now know why I couldn't obtain a feed but perhaps others maybe interested in the answer.

peedee

Hi Peedee, we set up our Facebook account so that visitors could comment on our posts but not directly onto the timeline. This is pretty standard with business pages  - most brands operate this way as it allows visitor interacion but keeps the newsfeed focussed around The Club's content. Thanks for your question. Kind regards, G

why does my profile call me a "caravanner" and not a "Member"?

Hi Geoffeales, when you create your profile you can select whether you are a caravanner or motorhomer to personalise you account, or choose not to disclose this information at all. Your profile photo will have a badge saying "member" if you have joined The Club. Hope that helps. Kind regards, G

"Soon", regarding announcing the new website improvements is a little vague Graham, if you will excuse my blunt Yorkshire replyHappy. Regular users of CT and other areas of the website have been waiting a very long time regarding a better online service, particularly one that helps with site selection and improvements to the CL searches. Could you not provide us with a few teasers on how things might be improved, come the new website? Thank you.

Thankyou Graham, pleased to hear Club Together is still doing well as a contact point. Yes, please reveal the second most popular contact, although I think can guess! Smile
