Why stay here ...

Daresgate Caravan site is situated at the edge of Newbourne village in a quiet spot ideal for bird watchers or walkers. The site has electrical hook-ups, water, waste disposal and there is space for awnings. We welcome well-behaved dogs and children.

The village has 'The Fox', a thriving pub, 'Nourish Cafe' a children's playground, a small farm shop selling vegetables, and Newbourne Springs nature reserve. There are buses which go to the nearest towns of Felixstowe, Woodbridge or Ipswich. The seaside at Felixstowe is a ten minute drive, and the market town of Woodbridge is 15 minutes by car.

There is a Marks and Spencer's and Tesco store a ten minute drive away at Martlesham.

Local attractions include the Sutton Hoo burial ground, river trips on the River Deben, golf courses at Waldringfield and Woodbridge, and not forgetting the amusements by the seaside at Felixstowe.

A classic CL

We've just spent nearly 2 weeks on this site. A classic CL. A good size field with 5 EHU points lined up along the top of the field. The approach route is a bit narrow but there are plenty of passing places. No problem as long as you look well... Show more

Beautiful and tranquil

We have now visited this site twice and hoping to come again. It’s a large field that’s well maintained with lots of space. The village itself has a cafe, some stalls selling excellent local produce and a great pub within walking distance. The nature reserve behind the local pub is... Show more

August 2019

We have just spent a very hot week here. The site is big and pretty level, with a good secure gate. The road in is narrow but has lots of passing places, do follow the sites directory instructions. Felixstowe is only a short drive away. Only negative - but this could... Show more
