Why stay here ...

Ann and Steve Last are pleased to welcome you to Sunfield Farm CL with its wide views down the Fynn Valley, Suffolk. You will be near to the market town of Woodbridge (3 miles), the River Deben, the Park-and-ride (1.5 miles) to the much larger town of Ipswich and a pub and supermarkets (Marks and Spencers' Foodhall & Tesco – 2 miles).

The site is small and quiet with views across the Fynn Valley. We have waste, water and 16amp power. There is lots of open space and also secluded woodland. The site is level and well drained. We would ask that dogs are kept on leads whilst on the site.

You can visit the Georgian market town of Woodbridge (3 miles), there is a market every Thursday. There are also lots of independent shops including ‘The Cake Shop’ – winner of the TV show ‘Britain’s Best Bakery’. The town is also famous for having one of the last working tide mills. This is open to the public daily in the summer. Throughout the summer the local yacht clubs hold regular races and regattas on the river. There are many old pubs in the town including the 400 year-old Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard, the steelyard, still visible, being a device for weighing vehicles on their way to and from the wharves.

You can take trips to Snape to visit Benjamin Britten’s world famous concert hall and Snape Proms run during August. Then go to Aldeburgh for fish and chips on the beach and also to Southwold.

Walkers can walk the many local footpaths in the area, or visit the coast (10 miles).

Sutton Hoo, just over the river from Woodbridge is the location of the greatest find of buried Anglo Saxon treasures in the UK. Thought to be the burial place of King Raedwald, where gold, jewellery and artefacts were found in a 90 feet boat burial from the seventh century. Visit the National Trust site and the exhibition.

Fabulous Site!

Sunfield Farm
Near to places of interest in various directions. Clean & tidy. Spacious pitches. TV isn't really possible because of the lovely trees near to the pitches, but, the owners provide TV Hookup if wanted for a small fee. A gem of a site to relax and unwind at. Lovely views of the horses in the field & the trees beyond. A circular route for dog walking too. Would definitely recommend

Excellent

Sunfield Farm
First outing after lockdown to meet up with friends who chose the site. We were able to pitch up next to each other for our first meet for 18 months and what a good choice our friends made. Plenty of space plenty of EHU, water & waste nearby and the sun shone for 3 days. easy access to Ipswich waterside cafes & bars & town centre shops. We also explored Snape & Aldeburgh to do some family history research. Warm welcome by Mr & Mrs Last look forward to another visit in the future.

Lovely setting

Sunfield Farm
Sunfield Farm is a lovely south facing, sheltered site which overlooks a paddock with horses in. The water and emptying facilities were excellent. Not wide pitches but adequate. The owners were very friendly and helpful. There is a busy road that runs behind the site but it is not a problem at night. We caravanned with friends and found the site very relaxed.

Suffolk Retreat,

Sunfield Farm
We have just returned from a four night stay, the Welcome was warm and welcoming, The access is a little tight for long units, but a little care is all you need. Location is perfect for exploring the area, The area for the units is very generous, with recycling bins and excellent electrical hook up's. The area for the clean water and chemical disposal is in very neat bricked area. The ground is well looked after, a slight slope at the bottom of the area. Will use again when in the area, Highly recommended.
