Fynn Valley Golf Club is set in the rolling countryside of rural Suffolk in the charming village of Witnesham, roughly two miles north of Ipswich. The site is situated down a long track across part of the golf course. It is in a tranquil spot overlooking the golf course and forms part of the protected river valley, which is home to many wildlife species including barn owls, deer, nightingales and many more.
New for 2021, the site does now have electric hook up points. There is also running water, hard standing and a waste disposal point with MSP. 500 yards back up the track is the main golf club complex. CL visitors are very welcome to use the cafe facilities that are located here during opening house, see their website for details. There is also a golf shop stocking cold drinks.
The golf club is a friendly, family-run club and in addition to the picturesque parkland 18-hole course, the club also offers a 9-hole course, 22 bay floodlit covered golf range, practice greens and bunkers and golf lessons. C. L visitors can book to play the 18 hole course in the afternoons and 9-hole course and driving range all day. Club hire is available for the 9-hole course and range if you do not have your own clubs. Footgolf is fun for all the family and is available daily from midday on the nine hole course. Tee times may be booked up to seven days in advance via www.fynn-valley.co.uk .

Due to the proximity of the golf course, children must be closely supervised at all times. Dogs are welcome on a lead and the site is adjacent to the Fynn Valley Walk, a footpath and bridleway stretching from Witnesham to the Deben at Martlesham and Woodbridge, which is perfect for exercising your pets.
Conveniently situated for the county town of Ipswich, Fynn Valley is also easily accessible from Woodbridge, Framlingham, Felixstowe and Stowmarket and the coastal towns of Aldeburgh and Southwold, each of which offer a range of attractions that can be enjoyed by all tastes.
You can charge your car from the electric hook up point. No charge , however no fast charge facilities.

Lovely Site
Fynn Valley Golf Club
Stayed here to visit Ipswich and watch their football team batter Sheffield Wednesday 6-0, but that's another matter! Lovely site - great entrance and well sign-posted to the CL section - we arrived in darkness but managed to find our way. EHU was easy and the water/waste all nearby in a big screened off area. There is a drive over motorhome disposal bit - a bit tricky to negotiate but we aren't great at reversing - so it was a bit tight for us!!
Had breakfast in the club house which was lovely and the staff were welcoming and helpful. About a 5 minute walk from the CL site.
Visited the driving range - balls and mats aren't great unfortunately - shame as it has the makings of a fab little range.
Didn't play the course so can't comment on greens.
We took train to Ipswich and back again from Westerfield station - about a half hour walk from the site down country roads - we needed our phone torches on the way back as part of the walk is on the road. 30 minute walk to the station.
Would defo stay here if we do Ipswich away again!

Great site
Fynn Valley Golf Club
Booked this site as needed to be in the area, really didn’t expect it to be so good. Hard standing, Electric hookups, and water supply to pitches, drive over motorhome waste and all spotless. Breakfast and more in the golf club cafe, add to this the wildlife, green woodpeckers, owls, lots more, and the entertainment of watching some golf, really can’t understand why we were the only ones there, although not complaining about that!!

An unusual but delightful CL site.
Fynn Valley Golf Club
Spent four nights here at the start of a baking hot July and really enjoyed it. "Pitching" (pun-intended) on a golf course is an interesting feeling but the site was enjoyable and the ability to use the onsite cafe was a definite bonus. There was very little noise from the golfers and at night the site was silent.
Toilets and showers are usually for the golfers and were almost hotel standard (though we only used them whilst visiting the cafe). If you are into golf then you can use the golf course and if, like us, you're not then the driving range is a fun and inexpensive way to spend an hour or so.

Fynn Valley Golf Club
There is an enormous amount of building work going on at the golf club and this work has resulted in the access tracks to the CL be more than somewhat bumpy, but no doubt as soon as this work is completed the track will be made smooth once more.
At the site itself, which overlooks the fifth fairway and 6th tee there is quite literally masses of room for you to pitch your outfit and the dog walking from here is truly excellent.
I have one major grouse and that is the waste disposal facilities, the chemical disposal point is fine, however there was only one single dustbin, so how on the earth could anyone split their rubbish up for recycling? !!
The showers in the old clubhouse are old but more than adequate and they will no doubt be improved on enormously when the new clubhouse is opened in a few months time.
We will no doubt be stopping here when we are in the area again.
A great peaceful weekend
Fynn Valley Golf Club
Just had a great weekend at Fynn Valley Golf Club. The site is located on the far side of the golf club next to the 6th Tee. A beautiful location with some great walks close by into Witnesham one way and Tuddenham the other. You can use the showers in the main complex along with the casual bar.
The site itself has the basics, water, CDP and bins, the ground is level and well kept. No electric hook up but with a solar panel on board who needs it!
We will definitely be back.
