The main beach area is the Algarve – its long stretches of golden sand, rocky coves and impressive waves make it an ideal destination for your perfect beach holiday.
The capital Lisbon is where it all happens – expect a lively but welcoming city. Visit the city centre on foot and wander through the 16th-century Bairro Alto or explore St George’s Castle – standing firm since the 6th century. Porto and Braga are well worth a visit too, both jam-packed with history.
