Why stay here ...

Located in a tranquil and beautiful nature reserve in the Vecht valley, this site is perfect for walkers, cyclists and nature lovers. It’s spacious, with generously sized pitches arranged around large fields, all of which are level and grassy. Facilities are plentiful and kept spotlessly clean.

A small petting farm, playground and paddling pool will entertain children, while the riverside provides a great spot for some sun bathing or fishing. The onsite restaurant serves delicious food and the staff are always welcoming. Discounts at the reception for nearby attractions eg pools.

Dalfsen, with its lively market, and Vilsteren are both within cycling distance and the site can provide prepared routes on request. Children will enjoy a trip to the Wildlands Adventure Zoo. Rechteren Casle – the last of the province’s remaining medieval castles – is a 30-minute drive.

Lovely site, great for fishing, canoeing & cycling

Just returned from a 18 night stay at Arendshorst (June/July 24). The owner/staff are very friendly and there was plenty of space on the pitch, arranged around open fields. The toilets/showers (separate male/female with toilet paper & soap) were spotless and never had to queue. The hot water is on... Show more

Peaceful site by idyllic river setting

Stopped here for a couple of nights in June 23 on our way to Denmark. The site is fantastic, we were pitched on a spacious spot just back from the river, where you can fish or just sit on one of the benches and watch the wildlife. The facilities are spotless and... Show more

Relaxing stay on a beautiful and tranquill site

In August 2022 we embarked on our first trip abroad with our caravan and concur, with an earlier review, that we couldn't believe that just 2.5 hours for the Hook of Holland we found ourselves in an area of the National Park on a family run site which was both... Show more

Peaceful stay in a tranquil environment

Stayed on this site for 4 nights with my golden retriever. I was made to feel very welcome. Lovely site with lots of space and the bonus of a river running past it. Interesting places to visit with the lovely towns of Ommen and Zwolle close by.

Beautiful Site

I concur with all the other positive reviews but cannot give it five stars because of the very disappointing laundry facilities. When we stayed the site was only half full and as it was during school time there were very few families. They have a booking system... Show more

Beautifully Relaxing & Fantastic Cycling

One of the most peaceful and spacious sites we've ever visited. 2.5 hours after leaving the ferry in Hook of Holland we were pulling into the site access. Wonderfully friendly and helpful staff - like all dutch people speaking great English. The English version of the site and local area... Show more

Wonderful location and incredibly helpful site owner

This site is beautifully situated within easy reach of Ommen by a safe cycle path through scenic fields. Idyllic quiet pitch with spotlessly clean toilet block. Michael was incredibly helpful when I injured my hand and spent time ensuring I got the help I needed. Would definitely return and highly... Show more
