Why stay here ...

Set in the heart of Rural Drenthe, Camping Vorrelveen is a small, charming campsite. The friendly owners Bianca and John will give you a very warm welcome.

It is a perfect location for nature lovers who love hiking and cycling. The National parks (Drents-Friese Wold and Dwingelderveld) are just a few Kilometres away from the site.

The Campsite is very well looked after and has spacious grassy pitches. It is an oasis of peace and quiet interrupted only by bird song. There are deer in the fields and you can enjoy the beautiful sunrise and sunsets.

It also has its own herb garden for visitors to use when preparing a meal or for a fresh mint tea.

Wine tasting and homemade fresh take away pizzas are also available on site with local products, freshly baked rolls and fresh eggs.

The campsite is also very child-friendly with various play equipment available, adventures and entertainment organised and there is a large swimming lake at only 3km away.

Excellent Stay at Vorrelveen

Vorrelveen
We stayed at Vorrelveen in our motorhome on our return journey through Europe after touring Norway and it is an excellent site in all ways. We had prebooked via the club but we had to cut short our stay to get back to the UK for unforeseen reasons and Bianca was so understanding, helpful and friendly and she and John clearly run and manage the site to the highest standards. Sadly our short stay meant we weren't able to see more of the area or sample more of the food or local produce from the shop but the morning bread and pastries we ordered were wonderful and the sugar bread was absolutely delicious. We will definitely plan to come back and bring our bikes next time to get out and about. I would highly recommend this site to fellow members.

Wonderful stay at Vorrelveen

Vorrelveen
We have just spent two lovely weeks at Camping Vorrelveen. Bianca and John gave us a very warm welcome, showing us around and pointing out the various facilities and then bringing a coffee to our pitch. They were very helpful throughout our stay with suggestions of places to visit. The facilities on the site are extremely clean. The site is beautifully kept and attractive with trees and many birds. We went on several bike rides in the area which is very rural and attractive and also used the P and R at Beilen to go by train to Assen and Groningen. We can highly recommend the pizzas made by Bianca and delivered by John to the pitch. They are delicious and there are plenty of varieties to choose from. The access to the site is very good from the A28 and the directions after that from the website were spot on. We would like to return to Camping Vorrelveen in the future as the site is lovely and there is so much to do in the area.
