Rich in historic and cultural heritage, Provence is all about stunning landscapes, festivals, food markets and beautiful architecture.
To the east of Provence is the Côte d’Azur, better known as the French Riviera.
This is a popular region, famed for its sunflowers and rich scent of lavender. Much of its popularity can be attributed to the sunny, dry summers and mild winters that the region enjoys. The beaches are a real attraction, and the region’s numerous harbours and coastal towns make a great place to watch the world go by, with glamorous yachts and celebrities galore.
There will be plenty of photo opportunities whilst exploring the sleepy hilltop villages, such as Bonnieux, and strolling through the quaint towns of Provence. Become immersed in the history and serene lifestyle of this southern region, or take it such drama as the Gorges de Verdon, Europe's Grand Canyon!
The perfumed streets of Grasse and the historical cobbles of St Paul de Vence are exciting places to explore with many opportunities to sit and watch the world go by at one of the traditional boutique cafes.
