Day 1 – Arrive at Larrouleta campsite near Biarritz

Meet your hosts and fellow tourers over a welcome drink and meal.

Day 2 – Biarritz city tour

In the morning, head to the local markets where you will be surrounded by some fabulous local produce and specialities - just think cheese, baked baguettes, charcuterie, jambon de Bayonne, freshly caught fish. Here you can have a spot of lunch at your leisure before you explore this beautiful Basque city with a guided tour.

Day 3 – Free day at your leisure

Spend a day at your leisure. Relax on site or why not get a panoramic view of the mountains and ocean with a trip on the Train de la Rhune?

Day 4 – Tour Saint-Jean-de-Luz

Explore with a guided tour of the former Basque Corsairs’ capital. A small fishing village, full of history and culture, where piracy, fishing and whaling brought wealth to the town.

Day 5 – Travel to Gran Camping Zarautz

Settle into your campsites and enjoy a welcome drink

Days 6 - 9: San Sebastián

Day 6 – Day trip to San Sebastián

Explore the city of San Sebastián, home to some of the top restaurateurs in the world and renowned for their food. Here you will take a pintxos & wine tour.

Day 7 – Free day to enjoy at your leisure

Perhaps take a day trip to Zumaia where the green mountains meet the Atlantic Ocean. A short 30 minutes walk to see the wonderful views and see rock formations formed over millions of years or perhaps try out part of the Camino hike that passes from Bilbao to San Sebastián.

Day 8 – Easy hike & Cheesemaking farm

A short drive away from San Sebastián, up into the rolling hills, you will take a light easy trek to the cheese making farm. Here you will learn about and try the local Idiazabal award winning cheese. Finish the day with a meal in a gourmet village restaurant.

Day 9 – Free day to enjoy at your leisure

Today you could spend another day exploring San Sebastián at your leisure, perhaps take your bathing suit along and enjoy the stunning beach there.

Days 10 - 14: Rioja to Bilbao

Day 10 – Day trip to the Rioja wine region

Here you will sample wine from the stunning vineyards of Rioja, and as a group enjoy this with a spot of lunch.

Day 11 – Bilbao & the Guggenheim Museum

‘Modern’ meets ‘Historic’ today with a guided tour of Bilbao's Old Town, followed by entrance to the fascinating modern art Guggenheim Museum, Bilbao.

Day 12 – Gentle hike and Cider House

Today, enjoy a gentle hike to see the fascinating flysch rock formations of Zumaia. These striking, vertical layers of ‘folded’ sedimentary rock are formed in deep marine basins.

Afterwards, enjoy a 3 course lunch at a traditional Basque cider house, where you will of course have the opportunity to taste the house produce.

Day 13 – Free days to enjoy at your leisure and farewell meal

A free day to spend how you wish. End the tour with a farwell meal to say goodbye to your Hosts and fellow tourers.

Day 14 – Depart campsite by midday
