Overseas Campsite Awards 2023
We are delighted to announce the winners and runners-up of the Caravan and Motorhome Club and Alan Rogers campsite awards for 2023.
The awards were held in Birmingham on 15 February 2024, during the UK’s biggest Caravan, Camping and Motorhome show at the NEC. The awards recognise European partner campsites’ special commitment to our members. The winners were selected from a shortlist compiled by our experienced campsite teams and experts in the camping and caravanning industry, as well as feedback from all our members on the campsites popularity.
These awards celebrate the efforts made by our overseas partners, with each category having an overall winner and a highly commended runner-up.

The Overall Award Winners have been selected based on feedback from members and industry experts for their outstanding quality, fantastic facilities and great service.
Caravan and Motorhome Club Overall winner 2023
Séquoia Parc, Nouvelle-Aquitaine,
France (Club ref: A28)
An exceptional 5* site in magnificent grounds including its own Château "La Josephtrie", Séquoia Parc has superb facilities that include a 6500m² water park with 4 pools, a lazy river and some fantastic water slides, a relaxing wellness area with spa and gym and multiple sports areas and playgrounds. This Sandaya Parc is a gem in the Charente Maritime for all the family to treasure.
Alan Rogers Overall Winner 2023
La Bien Assise, Hauts-de-France,
France (Club ref: P05)
Just a stone's throw from England and Belgium, La Bien Assise is a delightful 5-star campsite is nestled in peaceful green parkland. Located just 10 minutes from Calais, enjoy a quiet stay and discover the coastline of Nord-Pas-de-Calais and the Opal Coast. Quality services are available on-site, including a shop, an indoor heated swimming pool and a restaurant serving high quality homemade cuisine.
The Progress and Innovation Award
This award reflects the hard work and commitment by campsite owners to improve and upgrade their site or add innovative features. Candidates will have undergone a far reaching improvement programme or have benefited from substantial investment of time and money.
Winner 2023
Jungfrau, Switzerland (Club ref: S15)
The current owners of Jungfrau, the Camping Lodge Group (founded in 2020) focused on excellent service and guest experiences. Their website is a hub of activity information and local events, and they are the first to receive the Ibex Sustainability Certification within the camping industry in Switzerland, showcasing a commitment to enviromental responsibility.
Runner up 2023
Les Genêts, Occitaine, France (Club ref: D07)
Celebrating 50 years and gaining their 5th star, Les Genêts have renovated and added new facilities including additional play areas on the lake, electric car charging stations and new outdoor fitness equipment. There is a wonderful traditional sense of welcome on-site, where you can spend quality time with the entire family!
The Welcome Award
This award takes account of campsites offering a particularly friendly welcome throughout the season. Those creating the friendliest ambience for all Caravan and Motorhome Club members and Alan Rogers customers.

Grubhof, Austria (Club ref: G04)
The owner and his team at Grubhof warmly welcome their campers and endeavour to make their stay a most enjoyable and positive experience. Their motto is “Experience camping without compromising on luxury” and with the excellent facilities and the stunning mountain surroundings, memories made here are to be cherished forever.

L’Isle Verte, Pays de la Loire, France

The owner and his team are delighted to help assist all guests during their visit. Whether it's on arrival for the individual camper or during the wine tasting tours with groups and rallies, with many guests returning year on year. Set on the banks of the river Loire and just upstream from Saumur, L'Isle Verte is ideally situated for discovering this magnificent region.
The Sustainability and Environmental Awareness Award
We are all aware of the importance of doing all we can to protect the planet for future generations. We are aware of many of the outstanding initiatives taken by our partner campsites to protect and enhance their environments and want to recognise these initiatives.
Winner 2023
Huttopia Group
The Huttopia group has been welcoming guests for 24 years and they want their guests to reconnect with nature so their campsites are located in unspoilt havens of nature - by the sea, lakes, rivers, forests or mountains. Guests can enjoy a variety of open-air activities, great places to swim and simple cuisine. All their campsites are designed to use as little energy as possible, and be as environmentally friendly as possible, using natural resources and materials, a selection of local produce can also be found on site.
Runner up 2023
Seasonova Group
Many of the Seasonova campsites have obtained the Green Key label: the first international sustainable tourism label. This means eco-friendliness, respect and protection of the environment is at the heart of this group's priorities. Initiatives include sustainable use of energy and resources and marketing of local and seasonal products. You will find recycle and compost stations at most sites, and the Group is also involved in tree planting actions around the world to help towards the global objectives of carbon neutrality.
The Small/Charming Campsite Award
We are delighted to work with campsites that have a relatively small number of pitches, whilst still offering a superb service and a charming environment for customers.
Please note, this award is restricted to campsites with less than 150 pitches.

Blarney Caravan and Camping Park, Republic of Ireland (Club ref: Z05)
Blarney Caravan and Camping Park is a four-star family-run park close to the city of Cork, with views of Blarney Castle and the surrounding countryside. The campsite is easily reached from the ferry ports at Cork and Rosslare, and is ideally located to explore the beautiful South of Ireland, The Wild Atlantic Way and Ireland’s Ancient East. You’re guaranteed a warm, friendly welcome at this peaceful and secluded campsite, which has grassy, spacious pitches and immaculate facilities.

La Campiña, Andalucía, Spain (Club ref: E25)
A small, peaceful and charming campsite, La Campiña has been run by the same family for generations. Receive a warm welcome and excellent facilities including a restaurant offering delicious local cuisine, at this beautifully kept campsite.
Catch the bus from outside the campsite to Cordoba and discover the Andalusian unique culture or take time to explore the beautiful olive groves and vineyards nearby, dotted with white villages, old fortresses and castles.
The Dog Friendly Award
Dogs are generally made welcome on most campsites across Europe but many sites have added special facilities to ensure that they really are 'dog friendly' so this award recognises the very best in this respect.

Le Domaine du Logis, Brittany, France (Club ref: B02)
Dog, cat, mouse... everyone is welcome as our four legged friends are a part of the family. Members will enjoy a warm welcome from the whole team at Le Domaine du Logis as well from the house cat and dog. First dog goes free and new for 2024 is a doggie daycare service. Dogs and their owners will love the campsite’s vast and beautiful surroundings for walking in the grounds, free from traffic…and leashes!

Le Ventoulou, Occitanie, France (Club ref: D32)
Set in the rolling countryside of the Lot region, Le Ventoulou has made its mission to be a top destination for our four legged friends. Offers a variety of services fit for a 5* experience, each pet on arrival will receive a welcome gift, a bowl and mat on loan and the local vet’s details. There is a spacious fenced agility park, a dog shower and mist and a doggy bar complete with a list of pet friendly places to visit to make this perfect holiday for your pooch.
The Family Award
This award is presented to campsites which provide excellent facilities for children and families, making truly memorable holidays for everyone.

Nommerlayen, Luxembourg (Club ref: H20)
Located in the wooded hills of central Luxembourg and adjacent to the Forest, you can venture out on some of the most beautiful hiking and cycling trails whilst staying at Nommerlayen. On-site familes can enjoy a snack bar, restaurant, bars, and two pools. There is also a large variety of entertainment and activities such as a multisport court, football lessons, bowling, kids club, crafting, concerts, teenage discos and theme nights, proving an unwaivering commitment to creating an exceptional and inclusive environment for families.

Camping l'Etang, Pays de la Loire, France

Set amongst the vineyards of Anjou in the former grounds of the château of Brissac, Camping l'Etang strives to provide a top family atmosphere. A variety of activities suitable for all the family include a fishing lake, sports for all ages, secure play areas, a heated swimming pool and evening entertainment. With direct access to their independent leisure park, the campsite is the perfect place for families to meet and create memories together.
The Exceptional Services and Facilities Award
This award reflects the effort made by campsites to host special or unusual events, activities and entertainment, or even the outstanding facilities that the campsites offer guests.

Le Brasilia, Occitanie, France (Club ref: C01)
Le Brasilia is an immaculate award winning 5*campsite in the Pyrénées Orientales region, with direct access to the sublime sandy beaches and azure blue sea. Enjoy the impressive 6000m² pool complex with slides, waterfalls and a superb Zen area. There is a multitude of activities and facilities for all ages including the Papillon spa and wellness centre, the restaurant and bar, the shopping alley, playgrounds and sports areas. Enjoy daily entertainment during the summer months including fitness classes, kids clubs and evening shows.

Vilanova Park, Cataluña, Spain (Club ref: E08)
This first-class campsite located, near Barcelona, offers an impressive range of outstanding facilities, services and entertainments for all ages, all year round. These include indoor and outdoor pools, a pool park, wellness centre, trampolining pillows, sports courts, children's clubs, 24h reception, excursions, live music, clowns, magic shows, salsa classes to name a few! The on-site restaurant is housed in an elegant 17th century Catalan farmhouse surrounded by gardens where you can enjoy traditional and international cuisine.
The Most Attractive Campsite Award
The UK market appreciates campsites that make a special effort to maintain a well tended and cared for environment with floral displays and pleasant green areas in which to relax. In addition to this, sites with stunning locations also often go unrecognised which is why we wanted to present this new award to ensure both these important attributes are given recognition.

Esterel Caravaning, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France (Club ref: C21)
The surrounding mountains provide a naturally stunning backdrop to the Esterel Caravaning campsite, and a private beach area has been created with dozens of palm trees which gives the feeling of being on a paradise island. The on-site Yoga Center is a platform dedicated to yoga, fitness and astronomy classes, offering a 360° panoramic view of the mountains and the Mediterranean Sea.

El Molino de Cabuérniga, Cantabria, Spain
(Club ref: E28)
El Molino de Cabuérniga is a gem of a campsite, that is family run and situated in the Cabuerniga valley with magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. Located by the Saja river and only a short walk from the picturesque village of Sopeña. The campsite blends into the natural landscape with large pitches amongst the trees, green areas and natural paths. The unique stone buildings and artefacts on site provide a traditional Spanish feel.
The Most Accessible Award
This award recognises our desire to encourage a more inclusive holiday environment for everyone, regardless of their physical needs. This could include adapted facilities and activities or more spacious and accessible areas across the whole campsite.

La Garangeoire, Pays de la Loire, France (Club ref: A42)
Set around an elegant manor house in a 200 acres park in the Vendée, La Garangeoire positively welcomes people with disabilities with the aim to be able to use and enjoy all of the 5* services available. A portable magnetic loop for the hearing impaired is available in reception to help those with hearing problems and access to the swimming-pool is adapted with a chairlift system that allows access to the main heated pool.

L'Orangerie de Beauregard Villedomer, Centre-Val-de-Loire, France (Club ref: L33)
A beautiful 4* campsite located in the heart of the Loire Valley, L'Orangerie de Beauregard Villedomer is set in 53 hectares of private woodland and fields and has been lovingly restored by the owners. They have made the campsite accessible for all by ensuring all facilities can be accessed, including the wet room, and the gradual slope in the pool along with the pool chair.
