Cayton Village Club Campsite, one of our many campsites in North Yorkshire, is located just three miles from Scarborough and within a mile of the magnificent Cayton Bay – ideal for surfing and exploring rock pools. Whitby and Bridlington are also within a short drive, where there's plenty of seaside resort fun to be had and coastal walks to enjoy. The stunning North Yorkshire Moors are within easy reach of the campsite, as are the picturesque harbour and seaside towns of Robin Hood's Bay, Runswick Bay, Staithes and Sandsend.
A chip shop and village store are just a five minute walk away from the campsite, and the Farrier pub is just around the corner offering a tasty menu plus a lively gin bar, as well as a fantastic Sunday roast.

From the A64: Take the B1261 signposted to Filey (at McDonalds and the Morrisons Supermarket roundabout). In the village of Cayton turn left at the Jubilee Hall into Mill Lane. The Park is 100 metres on the left.
From the A165 Scarborough to Filey Road: Turn right at Cayton bay roundabout into Mill Lane. The Park is half a mile on the right as you approach the village. Please only use these directions as alternative routes are unsuitable for towing.

Our first but not our last trip to Cayton Village
Cayton Village Club Campsite
This was our first stay at Cayton and what a delight!
Although some of the wardens were obviously new and in training, the warm welcome and the efficient check in was excellent! It's a huge site and we were advised where we would be best to pitch if we wanted a quiet stay (which we did).
The park was only probably a third full so there were plenty of pitches to choose from although I would imagine it can get quite busy at peak season especially as it caters for families so well.
The facilities are excellent. They are kept beautifully clean by the wardens and everything works!
The beach is only a 20 minute walk away and you are provided with a map and directions to all the key things you might need (shop/Post Office/chippy/pub).
For those who need public transport to get around, there is a bus stop right outside the site and there is easy access to Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey.
We stayed to attend a couple of shows at Scarborough outdoor theatre and the site location proved to be ideal as it was only a 15/20 minute drive away.
We have found our new favourite Club site!
Lovely site
Cayton Village Club Campsite
Great site, premium pitch was very spacious. All staff very friendly and helpful with everything. Bus from entrance for Filey and Scarborough was brilliant and we really enjoyed visiting both places. We also enjoyed Scarborough Fair Collection which was only a few minutes drive away. Fish and chips from van on Saturday were okay but not the best we have had but obviously not the Site’s fault.
The only negative we would say was all waste bins were removed from the areas (as marked on site plan) so all rubbish had to be taken to bins by reception and as this is a fairly large site we felt this was a disadvantage to how well the rest of the site is run.
Weather control!

Great all round site. Perfectly placed. Seem to have covered everything you need for a holiday. The family games room and 'burger van' were a nice surprise. Great wide pitches. Dog exercise pathway running around the edge of the site was great idea. Caravan and Motorhome club just need to develop weather control now - the wind and rain was tropical storm quality!

Cayton Village Club Campsite
This is our second stay at Cayton Village Club Site and once again we found it really (really) good. The wardens and staff all worked hard and everyone we spoke too were really pleasant, friendly and helpful. The site is large (2 camping areas) and was full over the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, but it was unbelievably quiet. There is a snack shack on site which serves take-away food in the morning and evening, apart from Saturday night when the Fish and Chip van comes to site. The site has a shop which stocks some provisions and Gas and accessories (we got a camping toaster which is brilliant) and literally just outside the site entrance is a bus stop. 3-4 miles either direction gets you quickly to Scarborough and/or Filey. The beach at Cayton Bay is walkable as is the village which although small has pubs, provisions stores, church and post office and also a fish and chip stop. Now, what am I saying?? Don't read the above as we want to keep this site to ourselves!! But if that's too late, then this site is one of the best - so book it, relax and enjoy. CAMP.

Absolute gem of a site
Cayton Village Club Campsite
Stayed here April 2024 with partner and two teenagers. We had a fantastic weekend and cannot recommend this site highly enough. It is a 15 minute walk to Cayton Bay beach and there is a bus directly outside the site that takes 15 minutes to Scarborough or Filey. The site has a games room with TV and Pool Table and shop is well stocked. There is a hut on site selling breakfasts and a fish and chip van visits on Fridays. There are two play areas on site and both are clean and tidy with the wardens out and about keeping on top of things. Staff in shop and reception were very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were spotlessly clean as was the whole site. We had a very relaxing weekend and found this site perfect for whatever you want to do be it a relaxing break, family holiday or for the more adventurous for some walks on the Cleveland Way. We will definitely be back
