Thank you Red Pennant!

This story happened on: 17/06/2014

We have been in the South of France at Perpignan for some time!  We decided that Andorra was worth  a visit!  As we climbed towards Andorra the Freelander2 started to overheat!  Cutting our losses we turned for home, and all returned to normal!  However as we have a long tow home in a few days time I rang Red Penant.  The lovely Sally soon sorted a garage for us to get checked out at.  We turned up there at the due time!  He took one look, and aided by translation from Sally, directed us to another garage some 400 yds away. This turned out to be Land Rover Perpignan.  Workshop manager spoke some Englisg so the problem was explained. We were asked to come back at 2.00pm.  Duly did this and the Freelander2 was Hooke up to the computer. Faulty fan module diagnosed, so a new one fitted and we were on our way.  A tad expensive, but Red Pennant pick up the labour part of the bill.  Having an extra couple of days here to make sure all is ok before heading for home.

Ten out of ten to Red Pennant, especially Sally and the other lady who helped with translation.

Paul

Just back from a longish trip to Spain during which we had the misfortune of what appears to have been someone slashing the sidewall on one of my car tires while parked. We were staying in a rural town and although we had a spare tire it was only a temporary type so we really had to get it replaced. Spain at the weekend? Forget it. We called Red pennant and explained our situation. No problem we were assured by Roseanne as they could sort everything out for us if we wanted. As it turns out we got a tire easily enough on the Monday morning and continued on our merry way without any other mishap. The main point here is this. If you are going overseas then get the club insurance as the peace of mind is fantastic. I, like probably most men, think we can get by but things happen and now I would never think about going away without the great backup that the club offers. Thanks again to Roseanne, think I spelled your name right, for all your great effort.
