Very Good

We booked for 4 nights and stayed 5 this was in June we had a good size pitch okay the was shade but the sun did come through. The busses can be picked up at the sites entrance to either Vilanova or Barcelona at Euro 5 each way to Barcelona there is also a train from Villanova but not sure of the cost overall we had a very good stay

OK but not the best

Stayed for 3 weeks in January. The site has good facilities (especially the restaurant) and was spotless, the staff are very good as well. Now for the not so good, the pitches are too small and are shaded meaning in January it's cold. There is a sawmill adjacent to the site with the appropriate noise. The surrounding towns are scruffy away from the seafronts. Not a good choice for the winter you need to go further south

Excellent Site Overall

The good things first. These comments relate to the site in April/May.The site is very easy to get to from the motorway and easy to find. The facilities are excellent. The toilet blocks are spotless and are cleaned continually during the day. The site supermarket is well stocked. There is a bar where meals are served as well as a restaurant. There is a menu del dia at 12/14€ served in both. The wifi costs 5€ for 6 hours on a log in and out basis and is good enough for uk tv. Local buses leave from the entrance as does a half hourly service to Barcelona for 5.10€. The not so good features are the site is a little remote, the pitches have a timber kerb to be negotiated which is high enough to beat the mover and on the serviced pitches the waste disposal is a 50mm hole 150mm from ground level which may take some planning for the waste to run away. You will probably shown to your allocated pitch but there is no problem if you wish to change as they do vary in shape and size. 50% of the site is holiday company chalets and the only noise we encountered was from people leaving the bar early in the morning and returning to these. Overall though an excellent site.

Good as a stopover

Good stop over for heading further into Spain. Facilities are good but the pitches are small and too shaded for Winter holidays.

An immaculate site but a bit remote

We stayed at this site for a week in January with a dog. The site has excellent facilities and is kept in immaculate condition for a site of 700+ pitches.  The on-site supermarket was very well stocked and had reasonable prices.  It was a long 3 mile + walk into town, as the bus doesn't take dogs, but Vilanova is an interesting place and has an excellent indoor and outdoor market.  We had a pitch near the boundary with the timber yard but although you could hear them working, it was not obtrusive.  Wifi is very expensive - there is no 7 day package and we reluctantly elected to pay 30€ to cover us during the week, although the wifi pass was actually valid for 60 days.  Perhaps we will call in on our return northwards for the balance of our wifi package !

PS.  Don't forget to bring a jubilee clip with you if you are on a serviced pitch as you will need it to keep your hose attached to the tapered connection, as the water pressure is very high.

Good Site Overall

The good points are; close to the main auto route, very clean, excellent restaurant, excellent supermarket on site and indeed other retail outlets on site, reception staff very good, indoor pool good, unlimited electricity and close to the coast. On the not so good; the water flow in the showers was not good and because of all the trees if you don't have a large freestanding dish you won't get any TV reception. The bus that stops at the entrance will not take dogs on it.

Love this Campsite

We are hoping to go back for our third year next year! It's unheard of, of us going back to the same place, however Vilanova caters for all our families needs. Two large swimmng pools, sport pitches, playgrounds etc. Restaurant, shops, take away. Met loads of new friends and some of them have been going back for 8+ years, shower blocks are always clean, would recommend to anyone with children.

Vilanova park

Spent 16 nights at this site and would recommend it to everyone. The facilities are second to none, great bus route into Barcelona and vilanova town, pools on site very well laid out with no struggle to get sunbeds. Pitches large and good electric and water supply. Restaurant good value with a good selection of foods. Will definitely be going back.

Great site

Have just returned from 16 night stay on this lovely site , will very likely return for more visits. Great fully serviced pitches ,really good facilities, kept very clean and tidy. Really helpful and friendly staff in reception.Great bus service to Barcelona and nearby Villa Nova I Le Getrui. We used the restaurant on site most evenings which offered good food at reasonable prices. Really enjoyed this site, it made the long journey well worth it !

Great family site

Huge well run site with excellent facilities. Open air disco or band until 12am so don't come here for peace and quite but excellent if you like a bit of night life. Portaventura 40mins by car. Barcelona 35mins. Sitges well worth a visit. Villanova has good beaches but town not too pretty. One gripe about pitch is the water and drainage are in brick pillars with the drainage outlet at least 300mm above the ground. Far to high for most caravans.
