Great Location

This site is perfect for being a first or last stop from the ferry crossing at Caen, just 45mins away. we also visited Bayeux from here which is a lovely town although very sobering with regard to the war graves. There is a small village within walking distance with a small grocery store for basic essentials. Note, the site does NOT provide any, not even bread or croissants! The site itself has lovely large pitches, we had one backing onto some kind of factory, which did have some traffic noise overnight. However this didn't detract from the overall experience. The facilities are smashing and there's a lovely outside space to enjoy a drink or meal. The only disappointment here, was the menu options are nearly all fried, not what we were looking forward to on our first night in gastronomic France!! Especially as its in the Camembert region. The deep fried camembert is not recommended!! In fact I would suggest the owners remove items they can't do justice to, maybe concentrate on the burgers, which I believe are very good.
