We spent 6 nights on this lovely rural site. The area is beautiful with lots to see and do. Cycling is very popular and lots of quiet flat routes. We visited Chenonceaux, Blois and Cheverny, all excellent. A large supermarket is just down the road on the outskirts of Contres. The site staff were all helpful and friendly. The bar, takeaway and restaurant were excellent. The new pool area is not huge but has two pools and a paddling area. There are a few sunbeds around. The pitches were in varying degrees of shade and a good size. We were not far from water points. Waste hogs had to be emptied at motorhome service point. There were lots of birds who were quite tame. The site had a lively friendly atmosphere but was quiet at night. A little road noise at night but didn't bother us. Facilities wee typically french with toilet rolls at entrance. All spotlessly clean. We would definitely go again.
very friendly site
The staff were always polite, helpful and happy to assist in any way they could. They all spoke excellent English. The facilities are fairly basic but clean and the sight is reasonably quiet, in June anyway, except for some slight road noise. There is a small friendly bar and the 2 pools are cleaned daily. The large pool is surrounded by glass which keeps it beautifully warm. The village of Cheverny is about 2 miles away, the chateau and the patisserie are definately worth a visit. Would not hesitate to return.

June 2015
We also visited the site in June this year and enjoyed some very good weather. We found the staff to be extremely friendly and helpful and the facilities to be very good and well maintained. An excellent centre if you like cycling if you don't have one as we don't, then you can hire one on site. The shuttle bus to Blois was also very useful.
We shall definitely return.

Super Cheltenham Club meet.
We stayed here with The Cheltenham Owners club for a week in early June. The site is excellent all round and we had very hot weather. One of our party had to put the hood up on his Merc and use the aircon!!!! The site staff are very helpful and cheerful with nothing too much trouble. The facilities are clean adequate and well maintained, and the pools are excellent. The tree sap mentioned by Tony, was a bit of a concern but was soon washed off both van and awning by the downpour we experienced after in Normandy.
The local Cheverny Chateau and Clos Luce in Amboise are a must as is the wine tasting which can be organised by Lauren from the site.A very pleasant surprise was the small town of Vendome to the north of Tours. We had a memorable stay here and would return to this site without hesitation.
Great site
Just returned from this lovely little site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Usefull information on local interests. As it was only the middle of June we didn't encounter any of the over crouding mentioned in other reviews. Excellent for cycling. Would stay here again.
A bit of a nuisance
A rally of 8 classic Cheltenham caravan owners had a great time in early June, however this coincided with the tree sap falling from the umbrella of leaves above. It made everything sticky but was washed off easily from car and caravan but not sure what effect this sap may have on the awning? Staff very friendly and great location for walking/cycling.
Little gem in the countryside
Stayed in this site late may 2015, must firstly say that the staff were all very good, could not do enough to ensure we had a good stay. If you are looking to visit the Chateaux in the area, ask at reception as they have discounted tickets, for the local eastern area Chateaux. The site itself is just out of the nearest town, with good size pitches, just one issue, waste water disposal, only one waste point. Very good site for walking /bikes with plenty of tracks away from the traffic.
