Sadly the number of dogs per pitch is on the increase throughout the club network. I have enjoyed having a dog throughout my life, but feel the current trend for owning packs of dogs is unreasonable. I cycle to work most days via a beach promenade 3miles each way and regularly count the ratio of dogs per walker and have  found an average of 4:1(dogs:walker) each way. It is also aparent that some owners have no appreciation or perhaps interest in regards to the consequence of free running dogs on others and especially fearful small children. Example: Our 3 year old granddaughter was recently pushed in to a deep pond by a wet and over excited playful dog (not under owners control) Sorry Sorry from the owner was accepted, albeit the situation was actually potentially life threatening!
