Lovely club site

The site is a lovely quiet one set 5 mins walk away from the beach, the wardens were ever so friendly, alway pleasant and cheerful. The sites ideal for day trips to Edinburgh, we went in on the park and ride ( choose the bus that has limited stops) which was very easy and far cheaper than trying to park in the city itself. The club wifi however is non existent and phone signal (on Vodafone) is just as bad, we ended up buying a router that takes a SIM card (tp logic) and found ee had just enough signal for our autistic son’s needs, so just a heads up if you need wifi go with ee Other than the wifi the site is beautiful, quiet on a night, peaceful and a must to visit. North Berwick down the road has all the shops and quaint shops to visit and is truly a beautiful little town to both visit and get all the essentials you may need. Loved our stay here, full credit to the club and staff

Lovely spot for beach walkers

We have stayed at Yellowcraig many times over the last 8 years. It is really nice if you are after long beach walks, coldwater swims and dog friendly. Handy for the lovely town of N Berwick and a half hour from Edinburgh via bus or train from N Berwick. All the staff are excellent and keep the site clean and well looked after. The guy who does the lawns and hedges is clearly keen on what he does. My own (very picky) point would be that the showers are showing a bit of age now compared to say, the ones at Tantallone. All perfectly clean and hot with plenty of flow, but they could do with a revamp in the next few years with more modern cubicles. As a solar installer (!) it would be nice to see a move towards adding panels to feed the lights in the facilities and any path lights. A lot of sites are going this way - such as the Quiet Site by Ullswater - and it does look good.

Lovely

Great location close to the beach, great site with amazing showers (that we’re missing now we’re back home), lovely walk along the beach to north Berwick.

Great location to beach

We visited this site on a recommendation from another member and will be happy to do the same to others. The site is well maintained and the staff very helpful and friendly. The facilities block was kept clean and yes maybe a bit dated but cleanliness is more important and the showers were hot and large with a decent area to change in without getting your clothes wet. Location wise it’s a 10 minute walk to a fantastic dog friendly beach which is huge and good paths for walking to local village and North Berwick which we would recommend. Yes the Wi-Fi is poor but tv reception was good but it gave more time to relax and read books. We will return.

Fantastic Site

Stayed for a week and loved every day. Great location and lots to do nearby - beach, castles, boat trips, museum of flight, east links park, The Law, shops and plenty of play parks. Nice clean beach with ice cream van at entrance. Site very well maintained and kept tidy. Nice selection of herbs potted on site you can sample. While there a water pipe had burst in nearby town which caused low water pressure, not a big deal and totally out of the wardens control, they kept us informed and up to date at all times with information sheets at all service points and reception. Welcoming and friendly staff, always a smile and a wave.

Lovely peaceful stay again

Back again this year this time with some friends as we had such a great time last year wanted them to appreciate this site also and it didn’t disappoint them so much so we have booked again for next year. We also had my in-laws come and stay for 4 nights and my grandparents (b&b in aberlady they don’t caravan) everyone had great time the beach is always a great walk and accessible for my wife who has mobility issues north Berwick is always a pleasure more for me as a visit to the lobster shack and ice cream parlour is always a must. The only criticism I have this time is we had a bit of a medical issue which was the fault of our doctors but obviously the phone reception is non existent we had look at the Wi-Fi heat map to be able to use this for WiFi calling unfortunately the upgrade for this site hasn’t worked as well as on other CAMC sites as it is very poor I know that you go away to get away from all of that but now mobiles are relied upon more than ever so this is something this site need to look into to bring it more up to date. Don’t let that put you off though if it is peace and to get away from it all mobiles included then this is the site for you

Great Location but woeful mobile signal, TV signal & especially WiFI . UPGRADE required

This site is a favourite of ours, especially when the weather is good. The Beach nearby and so dog friendly. Staff at the site are excellent. Shower and toilet facilities are immaculate as is the site in general. NB : Wifi is exceptionally bad despite the promises over the last few years to upgrade and 5G ?? .. not even 4G, 3G or any G !!! is available but it is in next door Archerfield Estate or indeed on the nearby beach. Groups of teenagers and adults hanging around the entrance to the site in order to use the hotspot for WiFi .. not even warm. Terrible signal and not what most people require these days. Negating the reply of getting away from it all, as I'm self employed, I need my mobile to earn a living so if I or anyone else wants to be disconnected from the Internet , then let us choose to do so. Please YellowCraig and CAMC , get this poor reception sorted and soon !!!

A lovely site in a beautiful location

A beautiful site in a lovely peaceful location. Although it's a large site the pitches are in smaller areas which made it a peaceful site. The site is very well maintained and the facilities are exceptionally clean. There are so many walks and trails in the area that we wish we had booked for longer as there is so much to see. We walked the John Muir Way to North Berwick, which is well worth a visit. Nearby Dirleton and Gullane villages are also lovely. A lovely site and highly recommended.
