We booked a 2 week stay at Wooda Farm Holiday Park. When we arrived we found the wardens to be very helpful and friendly, the pitches are spacious and we had a service pitch. The utilities appeared to be on the wrong side of the pitch but we soon realised that if we put the van in draw bar first, it was not only on the correct side but we also had a sea view and not overlooked like a lot of sights. We were most reluctant to leave at the end of our stay and would definitely recommend.. The family owned park is very well ran and most things have already been thought out, even down to a designated dog shower complete with shampoo ?? We will without a shadow of a doubt be returning to this fabulously clean and well ran site in the future.
This is a big site and we purposely booked a serviced pitch round the edge and am glad we did as it is very busy. The site has an amazing array of facilities which all came in useful during our 8 night stay - hot showers, restaurant, shop and takeaway. Our daughter also enjoyed the big play area and small farm and the caravan sales place on site was useful to pick up a few bits and bobs we needed. The site is exposed so it was a bit windy, but this didn't bother us as we had suitable pegs for the awning and the views across the landscape are extremely beautiful. Well placed for exploring Bude and the wider area.
Oh dear, first impressions seemed good but quickly went downhill. Decided to have takeaway fish & chips but despite waiting 30 minutes when there was no queue the fish was very undercooked. The toilet block was cold, no warm water in sinks or showers and the hand and hair driers did not work. Finally drove to motorhome waste disposal point which was still blocked with last autumn's leaves. Couldn't wait to leave.
The Site is very well maintained and meets all expectations of cleanliness in the public areas. There is lots to do to entertain children, playground, country walk searching for Pixies, farm animals and pitch and putt. Close proximity to Bude beaches and a dog friendly beach at Sandymouth. Would certainly recommend this site.
Site well maintained with excellent facilities. Onsite Courtyard Bar provided good food at reasonable prices, as did the Take Away. Benefits from being close to the town. On site shop also well stocked with fresh bakery products every morning. No hesitation in recommending.
My wife and I have visited for the last couple of years and have found this site to be really well maintained by the family owners. The site has wonderful grounds, an excellent dog walking area, woodland walks and excellent facilities. The showers are always clean and there are excellent views from the site.
Site rules ensure that there is plenty of peace and quiet later on in the evenings.
There are some very good walks close by and it is relatively easy to walk to Bude as well.
Well worth a visit.
Regimented site with pitches lined up in straight formation, albeit bordered by hedges. But they just block the deckchair view of the sea and Bude in the distance. And they also surround the loo block. It's a veritable maze finding how to get in. Attention campers - read the rules laid out on the welcoming site map. They include exiting by 10.30am on departure day.
I should have read the small print. Marked as a C Club site, it is in fact "affiliated" - at affiliated ridiculous prices! Horses for courses - if you want a self-contained resort with a host of activities on offer (from archery to tennis, to fitness suites and bar/grill) then I suppose it might be worth it.
Me, I just want to 'camp' in lovely surroundings with nearby places to explore.
Just back from 10 night break in touring park, had a nice time. Nice friendly greeting when boking in, lovely clean and well kept park. Plenty to keep the average person occupied, with clay shooting, pitch n putt, archery, kiddies play park, tennis etc etc. A pub and restaurant on site which I hear sell god food and drink, although this is heresay. Snack shack at reception does fish n chips, pizza etc, and I must say they do battered onion rings to die for, they are fantastic. Only downside for me would be the shower rooms whilst clean in need of an uplift, not bothered us too much as we generally use the one on the van. Again a very nice site, that we will use again in the future.
The site is lovely and clean maybe a little steep for the less able. The walk into Bude is on a narrow road with parts that has no footpath not recommended in the dark! We have been here for 5 days so far and the manager has been to complain at us for the dogs barking for seven hours, which they cant have done as we'd not been away that long. We apologised for them barking and have taken them with us every where we go now. Then today as we came back from a trip out for the day I was asked, only minutes after turning television on to turn it down again by the manager as he'd had complaints it was too loud this was at 17:15hrs not late at all. The site is lovely just feel that we have been targeted unfortunately by somebody on this site and do not at all blame the site or its staff.
