A fantastic site . . .

This was our first time away in our first ever caravan, we stayed for 6 nights on a fully serviced pitch, we took our two children aged 19 & 15 and we all thoroughly enjoyed the site with plenty of things to do. The staff were very helpful, the food both at the takeaway and the Courtyard was lovely. The whole site was immaculately kept with regular mowing and hedge pruning evident & the facility block kept spotlessly clean.....we couldn`t ask for more !! I hope this short review helps. Well done Wooda, we`ll definately return.

Five star site

Just returned from a two week tour of the south west which included a final 3 days at Wooda Farm. It's a nice site and we could easily have extended our stay. Staff were friendly, the site was well maintained, pitches were of an acceptable size - although to be fair our van is not overly large. Certain pitches have the advantage of a sea view and I shall definitely try and secure one of these next time around. Mobile and TV reception was very good. There was an excellent play-park for young children and we especially liked the woodland walk incorporating dozens and dozens of tiny pixies peeping at us from tree trunks and from behind branches as we meandered along the footpath. Less than 2 miles from the beach at Bude, Wooda Farm is situated close to the North Cornish/Devon coast with it's stunning views and great "rollers" coming off the sea for those who love to surf. There's a well equipped shop on site offering a wide choice of groceries and there are also a number of well known supermarkets in the town. The caravan accessory shop at the far side of site had a range of spares and accessories that would put some dealerships in the shade. This affiliated Holiday Park has a nice feel to it and I'm sure we'll be dropping in again sometime soon.

A fantastic site

This was our first visit. A wonderful stay during the hottest week so far! The site is immaculate. The cleanliness is without doubt the cleanest we have ever experienced. The staff are exceptionally polite and welcoming. The shop is well stocked. My only criticism is the lack of space in the car park while booking in. Trying to manoeuvre the caravan could be tricky if busy but I guess next time we could go straight to pitch and book in after? Will definitely return!

Great Site for families

We stayed here during the school holidays for a week at the end of May. We booked it mainly for the facilities on site and it didn't disappoint. It has a good shop, takeaway, bar and restaurant which we had food in one night, and it was very good, a cocktail bar for a quitter drink with views from the terrace, tennis court, indoor badminton court, pitch and putt, good play area for children, large dog walking field which our dog loved and woodland walks - all on site! It was very busy when we were there and the only downside was the noise from tents which in some areas are mixed with caravans- not ideal as noise travels easier from tents and where people are mostly outside. But to be fair our serviced pitch was excellent with hedging for some privacy and sea views in the distance. Also with the site being large there are many peaceful areas to walk to should you want to. The staff are all excellent and work very hard to keep the site clean. We went into Bude a couple of times which is very close and visited Tintagel and Boscastle. So overall, an excellent clean site especially for families in a beautiful setting

Mixed feelings

Staying over a bank holiday weekend was probably an expensive mistake at £39 a night for 2 people, and I now know how a sardine feels as it was totally overcrowded even though not quite full. In fairness the staff are very friendly and helpful, and kept the facilities very clean despite the numbers. The take away was very good but had a long wait, which in fairness I did not mind as the food is good and all cooked fresh. The location is quite good being about a 30/40 minute walk into Bude itself and a few pitches do enjoy distant sea views. For families, the site is ideal with lots on offer from pitch and putt to badminton and table tennis. The dog walk is great being a 10 acre field with wide paths cut around the edge. If you are happy in a packed noisy site, then this would be ideal but for those of us who prefer something a bit quieter, then not for me, but of course that is a personal choice.

Good Location for Bude and surrounding areas

This was our first stop at Wooda and indeed our first stop at a "larger" site. Easy to book via website, if a little pricey. We booked a premium pitch due to adverse weather which was advertised as with sea/countryside views. Unfortunately the only views we had were toilet block to the left, and caravans to the front left and behind. There is a sea view if you stand on the road. Site was reasonably level with water and electric hook up. The individual premium sites were in fact seperated by a very small hedge so no real privacy. In terms of the facilities, they are fantastic if you have children. Lots to do, including playpark, pitch and putt, tractor rides, animals etc. Our children have grown up but we both agreed it would have been a fantastic place for them. Staff were very helpful, pleasant and accommodating. There is a small pub/restaurant on site with delicious food, a cocktail bar and a takeaway. There is also an impressively stocked shop. In terms of location, it is about a 30 minute easy walk into Bude through the beautiful village of Ploughill. We walked down and due to the rain caught a cab back. The only downside to this site was lack of cleanliness which was a shame. It was a busy weekend but at one stage only one toilet (ladies block) was actually in a clean enough state to use. We usually do try to use site facilities where possible but reverted to our own shower and loo due to the disgusting state of both. Probably due to the busy weekend and amount of children on site but really a bit more checking would be good. Overall we enjoyed our stay, the location is good and the staff pleasant. If you have children this is an excellent location, however we did feel a bit hemmed in due to the sheer number of people there.

lovely site

Great site for teenagers, lots to keep them occupied and independent. Husband was up early fishing on lake. Overall peaceful and relaxing site. Close to beach, good car park for motor homes, great for surfing/body boarding, beach facilities/town perfect. Would recommend this site for families or couples, something for everyone.

A great all rounder

The site was not only beautiful but peaceful. The staff were always polite and helpful. There is plenty to do on site as well as being close to other places of interest. There is a restaurant, petting farm, Bar, Pitch and Put, Shop, Takeaway, Park, Dog work, Nature walk and Toddler area to name the main functions we used at the site. But also you are near gorgeous beaches and tourist attractions such as Bude and Port Isaac being a half an hour drive away. We really enjoyed our stay here and will be returning in the future. If i had to make a critique it would be that the bar could open for sightly longer and I generally don't agree with the £1.50 surcharge to use the family bathrooms, I see this as a must if going away as a family with small children but this would not stop me from visiting again as it really is a lovely place to stay, would highly recommend.

Great week

First time back at Wooda since 1996.Visited in September this year. Site changed a lot. Found all staff very helpful and sociable. Facilities excellent food in bar first class. Only one criticism having a large outfit found the pitches a little narrow. That apart I will be returning.
