This site is a pleasant surprise. Most club sites are trimmed and regimented, and although we all enjoy the smart appearance of such sites, Willingcott is different. They have taken on a rewilding project to present a far more natural enviroment. A series of ‘Devon Mounds’ are situated around the site abundant with wild meadow flowering. Hedges are kept natural to provide an envoriment for wildlife, and grass is not trimmed as short as other sites with some areas left longer, although the pitches are of course well kept. This provides a very natural feeling, and to be honest, should be copied on other sites. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the facilities are excellent as always. Location is handy for most of the usual attractions of North Devon with beaches close by, and the Tarka cycle trail running directly behind the site.
