Despite us being there on one of the wettest and stormiest weeks, this is a lovely site. Toilet block is beautifully clean and spacious with the benefit of underfloor heating in the shower block - which was definitely needed on what was an unseasonably cold week. Staff very welcoming and friendly. Just down the lane through the site back gate, about 400metres away leads to the Fortescue Arms where we had a couple of really nice meals - their Sunday lunch was awesome! Woolacombe itself is within reasonable walking distance- if you like walking - about 2.5 miles, going through fields rather than risking a fast main road with no footpath! Otherwise there is a bus stop opposite the Fortescue Arms that runs every hour.
