Not up to CC standards

This site is probably the most run down CC site we've been on and we've visited LOTs. Access is tight with lots of obstacles near the entrance. Still cannot understand why the CC insist on having departures and arrivals at the same time, especially on sites with poor access. All sites should be formalised. Out at 12.00 in at 1.00pm - problem solved. Pitches had hardly any gravel on and the toilets and showers were dreadful. Hardly any chrome left on the taps and showers, badly marked Formica tops near wash basins and dirty tiles. Not the wardens fault their doing the best they can with such dated facilities but needs some serious money spending on this site. Certainly not value for money when you're paying top dollar. Beach close by but shingle so hard to walk on. Local pub, Sailors Home, ok for a beer but certainly don't eat there. It could be a goldmine but is dirty and run down and unfriendly staff. Southwold lovely and well worth a visit, but Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth have had their glory days. Certainly won't be visiting this site again.

The obstacles around the entrance are totally outwith the clubs control and the access road layout is historical due to the proximity of buildings.

The pitches when visited last week were in good condition with plenty of gravel

Toilets and showers were spotless and in good condition

To say the site is the most run down in the network is a huge exaggeration and unfair on the club and the wardens.

I also disagree with the comment. The showers were brilliant with good pressure and red hot water. The staff were very nice and helpful. Lowestoft was surprisingly good and interesting and well worth the £3.50 return fare. The pub wasn't at all bad and the beer good and staff friendly.

Well as I see it these people are reviewing a different site as I and lots of other cannot falt it, the shower blocks are very clean and tidy, there is plenty of shingle on plots, as for the beach shingle that's gods falt for putting it there and making it to hard to walk on,maybe they are walking in slippers, it's easy to get to this site, some people think that they own all the road and nobody else should be on it, as for the pub, well a pubs a pub, should have tried the waterfront ,excellent food.it's not fair to diss this site ,it's excellent,I suggest they try a 5 star hotels in future.

We don't get the stars any more that tells us how many posts someone has made, but I don't recognise the forum name of the OP having made any other posts, so perhaps we should just ignore the comments.

You shock me, Nav. The reviewer has written 15 reviews. It’s not yet compulsory to post on the forum as well.

We might find his reviews out of step with our thinking but it’s his prerogative to write strange things. Having read some of the reviews I wonder why he visits club sites but I guess he has his reasons.
