First time on this site and wow, what views! Friendly Wardens and good facilities for the teenagers - table tennis and pool tables to keep them happy. I understand that the site is to be upgraded during the closed period to replace the serviced pitch bollards with new electric, TV, water and drainage points all in one plus resurface the pitches with a material that will not wash away during heavy rain. Once that is done, the site will be as near as perfect as it is possible to get. The reason I have not given the site full marks for location is purely down to the fact that it is quite a distance from Penrith with is where provisions were purchased. However, that is a really minor inconvenience and did not detract from our week long break. Where it this is made up is in the views and relative closeness to the lakes and all the fine walking that can be undertaken. We will revisit.
