Having been cc members for over 40 years I'm ashamed to say we've never previously stayed at this site which is a gem of a location.  We pitched to have a lovely view of Blencathera and Skidaw and savoured every minute spent in the caravan. This is an ideal destination if you like walking or cycling and there are some excellent eateries within a short drive.  The pitches are very well spaced out and even when the site is full you never feel you're hemmed in.  A great site managed by very helpful and accomodating wardens.  We shall be returning soon.
