Still excellent site.

This was our third visit and we were not disappointed. Very friendly and helpful staff with spotless toilet/shower block. The nearby park is brilliant for your 4legged friends and pleasant for an evening stroll. There is traffic noise from the M4 and local road but it does get ignored and doesn't become a nuisance. Definitely use this venue again.

Great Location

We stayed at this site in August to use as a base for visiting family. The staff are lovely, the site clean and tidy, and the grounds of Tredegar House are nice to walk around in the evening. The local Asda was handy, also for fuel. There's plenty to do in the area as other reviewers have mentioned. The motorway didn't bother us. Barry Island was an easy 30 min drive with a lovely sandy beach. Apparently Newport does get more than it's fair share of rain, according to the locals!

Summer holiday

Just back from our two week holiday here had a great time excellent standard and well maintained by the resident wardens.  We had a service pitch.  Well situated and private.  Very friendly site.  The big house is an must to visit the grounds are beautiful and it's a poke sent walk around the grounds.

Tredegar Park

Usual high standard that we now expect from the Caravan Club's sites. Efficient and knowledgeable staff, cleanliness and tidiness well up to standard. The location of the site in the National Trust property grounds was excellent, we are members of the Trust. Some people have mentioned the noise from the M4, this was not noticeable to any degree during our stay in late August. We used the park and ride east to get into Cardiff which we found to be a very good service. Cardiff itself is well worth a visit, very nice compact city with all sites of interest to us within easy walking distance. The downside was the bad weather, it rained persistantly during our three night stay. Please try and fix that for our next stay!!

Beautiful location.

This site is well worth a visit. It is situated in the surrounding gardens of a beautiful Manor House. Which is brilliant for bike rides, walking and picnics. The staff on site are helpful and friendly. Toilets/showers are spotless and hot. Slight background noise can be heard from the road, but nothing too loud to worry about.

Our first outing

Having previously read a review that said there was poor mobile coverage we were pleased to find we had good coverage. This was our first outing for many years with a caravan and our first as Caravan Club members so we were glad to have chosen a site that suited us so well. As we uncoupled the caravan to maneouvre it into place a gentleman putting up his awning came over and offered his help, this friendliness was apparent throughout our holiday from staff and other members. The whole site was clean and well cared for. Being within the park of Tredegar House meant lovely views whilst dog walking and the National Trust tearoom even sells dog treats and 'doggy ice-cream'. Whilst there is no playground on site there is a small playground closer to the house suitable for younger children.

Excellent Site

We use Tredegar House Caravan Site regularly to visit family in the area. The site is very convenient for the M4 which does produce some road noise but not enough to disturb sleep.  The facilities are very good and the friendly wardens do a good job of maintaining standards.  There is an Asda store, a Greggs and a food pub within walking distance. The site is convenient for visits to Newport and Cardiff which have a lot of attractions on offer for children of all ages. Tredegar House and the Country Park are well worth a visit and the house is much improved since the National Trust took it over.
