Spring break

We have just returned from a 7 night break at this lovely peaceful site.  The wardens were really friendly and helpful. Well stocked little shop, and well presented and clean reception and facilities. However, our pitch, when we arrived, was littered with cigarette butts and on further inspection the adjoining pitches were too. Whilst on the site we witnessed a lot of smokers standing outside of their units and smoking and then stubbing out on the hardstanding or grass. Is it too much to expect smokers to pick up and dispose of their butts in bins? As responsible dog owners, we are expected to pick up after them, and none of the children on site were throwing any sweet wrappers down. A lovely Fish and Chip van visited on 3 evenings whilst we were there, and it was well used, but there was no evidence of the wrappings left behind. This site is especially suitable for dogs, having walks direct from the site through woods for long or short distances.. We found these to be very accessible even for people with disabilities. There is also an enclosed dog walk on site, to safely allow dogs time off lead. As on all club sites, there is a 5mph speed limit, which, unfortunately was not always adhered to by new arrivals, obviously eager to get a better pitch than the other arrivals. There were a few families on site whilst we were there, but mainly Couples .  This is the second time we have stayed at Sandringham and we will be going back!
