Lovely warm welcome from the friendly wardens. Very wooded site as you would probably expect. Decent facilities if a little dated. Local social club is within easy walking distance but no t sure why the site instructions direct you to walk through someone's pitch (Pitch 7) when you can just walk out of the site turn right and be there in minutes. The major downside of this site has to be the hundreds of wood pigeons. Don't be under any illusion that it's just a few. It's not. The site is infested with hundreds of them. They start at around 4am and literally don't stop until 10pm. Endless and very annoying. Spent most of the time with headphones on, not the relaxing break we were hoping for. One smart arsed member decided we were "townies" hence our annoyance. Numerous other members were making the same complaint and will no doubt vote with their feet. We've lived in the country for the past 16 years and pigeons are basically flying rats and do untold damage wherever they rein. Lovely site but we couldn't wait to leave. Will most definitely not be returning.
