EXCELLENT END TO THE SEASON
This was our first visit to the site and were immediately impressed with the welcome at reception and overall standard of upkeep of the site.
The site is approached on a minor road leading to the Sandringham estate and the verges and hedges are immaculate.
The site itself is in a woodland setting with an abundance of birds and other wildlife. Forest walks start within the Site and there are plenty of opportunities for longer distance walks.
Generally peaceful with the noise of the busy Kings Lynn/Hunstanton Road hardly noticeable.
The staff (two couples) are unfailingly polite with a heap of information. One couple are keen cyclists and gave me lots of tips on cycle routes. Very enjoyable ride into Kings Lynn on well signposted cycle paths and quiet country lanes. Sandringham estate visitors Centre and House is a few minutes drive away and worth a visit. We spent a good few hours exploring the gardens, House and museum as well as enjoying the café where the food is excellent.
Apart from this the north and west Norfolk coast is not far away and a beach combers and birdwatchers paradise. Norwich makes a good day out and is a nice drive through undulating Norfolk countryside.
This was our last trip of this season and thanks to the staff and site, we ended on a high!
