Our first visit to this site for 5 nights middle of last month, and have to say we weren’t disappointed. As always a warm welcome by the stewards on arrival despite our visa credit card being rejected by the card machine. Moving on the site was busy but still a good number of pitches to choose from. Although showers were still closed during our stay the toilet facilities were spotlessly clean and warm. Our first visit to Norfolk so there is plenty to do and see. A nice walk to the Sandringham estate and around the extensive surrounding woodland was very enjoyable as was a walk through the grounds of the house too (note £12.00 a ticket though for this bit though, but still well worth it). We were a little early to see the resplendent rhododendrons which had loads of buds but nowhere near full bloom. I’m sure by now they will be a brilliant display of colour. Visits to Sherringham, Wells next the Sea, Cley, Holkham Hall were all worthwhile but note the coast road is at best 40 mph so allow plenty of time for travel. We’ll be back again sometime soon.
