Just returned from 2 night stay, very nice site but parked deliberately away from play away as we have 'been there and done that' and now want some peace and quite. Last evening and again this morning small children and Dads playing footy on a couple of empty pitches opposite from us. The warden drove by on his buggy and instead of reinforcing the stated 'no ball games rule' gave them the thumbs up. What is the point in Wardens they are quick to tell you to park properly etc but time and again bottle out of enforcing the stated rules. OK no ball against windscreen this time but still noise where you don't expect it.We would have had a quieter time parked next to the empty play area.....
Fabulous site, great location easy to find. Really peaceful. Facilities very very clean and everywhere well kept. Great for families and the park was good for all ages. For smaller children a pram was needed to get to the house via the forest walk as it was 45 mins. Mother and toddler room in great condition and clean. Lovely inviting lady on reception great with children
Returned on Saturday from a week at this lovely site.
We arrived to a very warm welcome - it does make a difference. Having left our aqua roll handle at home, the warden came to the rescue and loaned us a spare one. Such good customer care! The site was very tidy and all facilities were clean. We enjoyed a walk to Sandringham visitor centre, then on to Dersingham and Dersingham and Wolferton fen (a lovely nature reserve) then back to the site. Saw a couple of Muntjac deer. Apart from that we walked various parts of the N Norfolk coast - Holkham, Wells, Blakeney, Stiffkey and Morston, with a visit to Titchwell RSPB, where there is free entry to CC members. All in all a superb week's hol.
First outing of the year and first time here. Lovely welcome by the wardens. Couple of noisy planes flew over but not early morning or late night so no big deal. Showers were spotless and warm with lots of hot water. We had pitch number 1 which was fine. I have read the other reviews saying about the walks very near the pitches and having seen them for myself I too would avoid them if possible
Nice warm welcome, nice clean site, was going to stay longer, but could not believe sudden hike in prices, so changed our minds.
Only 'moan' we have, we went onto pitch 74 which we thought would be good for taking the dog out, unfortunately we were disturbed several times with people cutting across the pitch, even brushing the corner of the van at one point, to get to the Sandringham walk, I am not one of those people who barricade themselves in there own little rented space, but people crunching the gravel do disturb you when its quiet, for the sake of a few more steps.
Perhaps if there were a few paving slabs down the centre of the grass strip to indicate a path this may eleviate the problem, as it may have been due to the wet grass being slippy, (or could just be laziness, or no respect) after all you can save 3 steps on the walk to Sandringham !! however we will be back when the prices come down again
First visit and what a welcome from Roger and his wife, sorry not remembered your name, such a lovely smile and warm greeting and very helpful throughout our stay .We had a number of problems new to motorhome holidays Roger went the extra mile to help us, his wife very calming influence, loved our stay on a fabulous site so once again thank you for a lovely time Paul and Linda
We stayed here and had a wonderful time, the site is very clean and well maintained. The staff are always very happy to help you. If you need any parts for your van or camper you have two to choose from one at Hunstanton and one just 4 miles away from the site both very good. If taking your dog please read any notices and be vigilant.
Would recommend this site for anyone not far from the beach and plenty of good walking. I would like to thank the staff for a wonderful time.
very clean & tidy site, lots to do & plenty of walks for the dogs, the only problem we had was friday when the site started to fill up & there was still only one shower block open, people were waiting outside
First visit last year and it is a really nice site, except I'm not sure the old people who run it have much time for the younger generation of campers!!!! Abit grumpy..........
Sandringham is the perfect site for exploring North Norfolk . Also is a good location for walking close to the site . With a very nice walk to Sandringham House direct from the site via a woodland path. The site is up to the usual Caravan Club high standards.
