Grump steak

First visit last year and it is a really nice site, except I'm not sure the old people who run it have much time for the younger generation of campers!!!! Abit grumpy..........

Superb Site

Sandringham is the perfect site for exploring North Norfolk . Also is a good location for walking close to the site . With a very nice walk to Sandringham House direct from the site via a woodland path.  The site is up to the usual Caravan Club high standards.

Sandringham Virgins!

Our first visit to this site was everything we asked for. As walkers the woods surrounding the site were excellent for both us and the dog. Within easy walking distance is the Sandringham House (although it was closed!). Hunstanton and Kings Lynn both within either driving or cycling distance. Given the time of year not all of the site was open but the facilities were clean and free most of the time. Certainly an easy site to find, within reach of local towns/attractions and offers something for everyone. As they say 'I'll be back' ??

Another nice visit to Sandringham

The usual friendly welcome and easy drive / tow makes for a pleasant arrival. Although not very busy the facilities were to CC  standards and the site had a warm inclusive feel, although the weather was not so warm :(. Pitch 111 was level and near an entrance to the forest  So easy to walk the dog. No grumbles from us. To conclude,  a great site to base a visit to the Sandringham estate and wider Norfolk attractions

Sunny Sandringham

This has always been part of Norfolk that we passed through to reach other parts, so found some new places to visit. Castle Rising ideal to walk to with a tea room that does great home cooking all day, very good Sunday lunch. Wolverton pay a visit to the beautifully renovated railway station allow some time as Richard the owner is very convivial and full of knowledge. Kings Lynn is a good visit.

First time

First time on a Caravan Club site - in fact first time on any site. If they are all like this then I think we have made a good choice. Excellent location and very clean. No problems whatsoever, a very enjoyable time.

A Sparkling February week

Bright Sunshine, Clear Blue Skies, Frosty Nights - What more could you want. As mentioned by others we arrived to be welcomed by temporary wardens - If not mistaken 3 sets in the week butas always they melt into the background despite keeping a very clean site. However they were stretched as after the first night the top toilet block was closed and the top half of the site likewise.. For those on site this did not pose an issue and its location with Sandringham Park allows plenty of walking opportunities together with easy access to deserted Northern Beaches. One word of warning when looking for a pitch - beware of purple makers alongside white. It did not affect us but in conversation before we left it transpires these are seasonal pitches and the relief wardens did not know why the white had not been removed until realising someone had gone on a seasonal pitch and hoped there would be no need to move them

Long weekend

Just returned from Sandringham on our second time out in our recently purchased motor home. We stayed for three nights from Friday to Monday. We were welcomed to the site by a lovely couple (stand in wardens). We then proceeded to find a suitable pitch which didn't take long. Then discovered that we needed a 25m electric hook up cable! Maybe worth noting this if like us your new to the set up on different sites? The warden was very helpful and pointed us to a caravan supplier in the nearby village (some 6 miles away). We returned with new lead and all good to go. The site was very clean and tidy. We pitched next to edge of woods which was perfect for our springer spaniel to explore, and for us to enjoy lots of very pretty walks. The toilet block was very clean tidy and warm. There is a lot to do locally and its down to personal preference. We headed off around the area on our Vespa which was a little cold but great fun. We walked from the site to the visitor centre at Sandringham which was lovely. All in all a very good site and perfect for our second time out. We will certainly return.

February Half Term

Tried to book ahead of arrival but kept getting answerphone. On turning up we received a less than friendly welcome telling us they were nearly full and we should have booked ahead !! Also told how short staffed they are being out of season hence no shop etc. A bit confusing as billed as an all year round site? By the end of the day the site was full which was good to see. However a large number of campers were dog owners (including ourselves) and despite there being an adequate number of dog bins on site there was an awful lot of dogs mess all around, including the children's play area. I feel sorry for the wardens who have to clean it up but perhaps they could stress to campers on arrival the urgency of the situation?

Long weekend at Sandringham

We arrived at midday Friday, the sun was shinning a real treat for February. The staff are very helpful the site is very clean with lovely large pitches some slightly sloping so take your wheel levelers and maybe some blocks for your legs if you are using a caravan. The showers were lovely and hot and we'll heated facilities.  Some lovely walks through the woods, no cycling so not good if you like to ride your bikes, supermarkets and  beaches all within a few  miles.  One small thing we wish they had was a dog wash/shower area especially as this area has had cases of the woodland virus that has been causing dogs to be unwell or worse still pass away.  Overall the site is lovely and I am sure we will be visiting again.
