First visit to the Sandringham site and we stopped for 4 nights. We were welcomed by a very friendly site warden, who helped us identify pitches that were not under trees and would be good if the sun came out. Weather unfortunately was very ‘hit and miss’, we would have lovely sunshine and then heavy showers, and this did make some of the pathways outside the site muddy. The sites pitches were of average condition and are mostly level but we found we had to use ramps as the slope was too great. The facilities are the old standard CMC style and do need to upgraded, but they were always clean. There are some good cycle routes form the site which we tried, one to Wolferton station (the ex Royal Train Station for Sandringham), one to Kings Lynn, and one to the Sandringham Estate. You can also walk to Sandringham which takes about 50m, which we did and we bought tickets for the Sandringham House and Gardens well worth a visit. These cycle and walking routes were handed to us on arrival by the warden. There is a nice pub and a quaint tea garden at Castle Rising both were very good, and there is a bus stop outside the site for the Hunstanton to Kings Lynn bus. The site shop sells some essentials like milk, but would suggest you arrived well stocked as supermarkets are quite a trek unless you have a car. For the majority of our stay the site was quiet and peaceful, only broken by the evensong of cooing of pigeons or barking dogs. Good thing due to sites remoteness, a fish and chip van and a pizza van come on site during the week

Loved staying on site, but ……..
Had a great time on the site, loved the peace and quiet and the bus service. WiFi and mobile signal could be better, but it makes it a good place to get away from the stress of life. Some details are starting to look a bit tired - rust around a bollard. Staff are excellent.
One plea - the cover of the manhole for the waste grey water is a bit heavy for some of us! It would be nice if it was easier to move off and replace
Staff are amazing.
One of the most outstanding things to us was the welcoming and helpful staff who went above and beyond the call of duty. Thank you all so much.
It was our first time out with our American RV and we were given a perfect pitch.
The site is beautiful, very well maintained, clean with trees and planting.
Nature all around, so peaceful you can hear wild life at night.
Showers and toilets were spotless.
Laundry room too.
Most neighbours were super friendly too. Lovely atmosphere.
Two takeaway vans each week I think it was, fish and chips and pizza oven van.
Not far to visit Sandringham House either which is worth the visit.
Definitely recommend, if you have a big rig, make sure to get in touch first.
Thank you

Very friendly staff
All the staff are very friendly and helpful. Brilliant location for Sandringham and for walking. Toilet block very clean but is getting to the point of a refurbishment. Site is kept immaculate. Highly recommend a visit.

A good site
We stayed in the upper part of the site and found it quiet and peaceful. We used our own WiFi and did not have any problems at all with the signal. The site is well located for visiting the nearby sites documented in other reviews and the site literature. There are some great walks straight from the site and the Sandringham Estate Office is a short walk away. Our pitch was OK but we noticed that some pitches were quite uneven. We did suffer from some insect bites but that is to be expected in a caravan site in the woods. Overall, a nice site.
Walkers paradise
So glad I hadn’t read the negative reviews before we booked because we loved the site. Yes phone signal weak but phone had 4G and our motorhome WiFi had full signal so could call on WhatsApp or FaceTime. Plugged our tv cable into the bollard and excellent signal. The site was very well groomed and maintained, facilities blocks are ready for a refurbishment but were clean, so fine.
Wardens all friendly and helpful, they had printed off walks from the site and bus timetable (bus stop at site entrance) these were free to pick up from information room, which also had lots more useful info inside.
Sandringham estate and woodland had lots of paths, the house & gardens were closed during our visit so I expect it would be busier when they are open.
We also walked to Dersingham nature reserve and Castle Rising castle, both worth a visit. Excellent tearooms at Castle Rising !
Excellent for motorhomers as so much in walking distance and regular buses close by for trips further afield. We will definitely be going back !
Great site but terrible club Wi-Fi
Great site we love coming here for the location and the walks through the woods on the Sandringham estate, great for the dog. Toilet blocks old but clean, site well kept by the wardens.
We wouldn’t normally worry about phone or WiFi when away but needed it this time so decided to pay the £15 for the clubs premium WiFi for our long weekend, complete waste of money it’s useless at best. We were on pitch 26 and my one bar on 4g (sky mobile) on my phone was better! Come on CAMC sort it out or don’t offer the service you can’t call it premium WiFi if it’s not fit for purpose!
Excellent site
First time staying here and and we very much enjoyed it. Great site, staff were helpful and very friendly. Facilities were kept very clean and showers were nice and hot. The site itself is brilliantly placed if you have a dog or enjoy bird watching. The walks around the estate are lovely. There are plenty of facitilies close by too. The site is very easy to access and I would thoroughly recommennd staying here.
