Just spent 3 nights At Stamford Club Site for the first time.... And what a Gem it was!! The wardens Paul & Gill were lovely, friendly and welcoming the site is very clean and tidy the pitches are well kept and maintained. I can safely say it won't be our last visit here, we are sad to be leaving and wished we would have stayed longer. .The site is peaceful and tranquil the wooded area around the site is teaming with wildlife and has some good walking paths. Stamford is well worth a visit, it's a Picturesque town which has plenty shops to browse around. We followed Paul's advise for fish n chips from the Riverside fish restaurant and a mister whippy ice cream from the ice cream van near the bridge near the River. If your visiting Stamford.... Make sure you visit the Nook (as recommended by Paul) a lovely shop that my wife loved. The DIY shop near there is an Aladins cave and has everything. The wood fired pizzas onsite are delicious so make sure you try them. Thankyou for a lovely weekend.... We will definitely be coming back and will be looking to stay for longer next time.
