Totally Relaxed!

A wonderful tranquil site in a rural location. Adjacent to woods with public access for walking and cycling. Many rural walks can be undertaken from the site including to nearby villages and pubs. A dog walk takes you into part of the wood and judging by the number of dogs on site made me think we should extend the Clubs new name to 'Caravan, Motorhome and Doggie Club'. There are activities for most children including adventure areas, tree houses and a good quality cafe and public toilets adjacent to the site. Nearby, the wonderful history and architecture of Stamford should be explored, not just the shopping. Also, the local villages resemble the Cotswolds because of the same rich golden stone, even thatch roofs in some places so take a stroll or drive to explore this lovely and uncomercialised geography. There are reservoirs, rivers and rich countryside offering a wide range of walking opportunities close by. No toilet block means you have to be self sufficient and we found the wifi to be inconsistent. Those who like to watch tv may also be disappointed since reception on pitches varies. The wardens were excellent. Friendly, helpful, informative and always with a friendly smile or a wave and never, never stop working somewhere on site for our benefit - thank you. That in itself requires limited office opening hours but easy to work round.
