My wife and I needed to book a site in the East Midlands in order to visit someone. I looked at the Caravan and Motorhome Club Site and found one near Stamford which fitted our requirements perfectly. I knew that the site had no facilities but what I had not realised was that this site is so far from civilisation that there was no 3G or 4G reception (although there is Club wi-fi available) and that TV reception requires a digital box or satellite. The ground was wet, very wet but the wardens were very friendly and helpful too ringing the day before to warn of resurfacing on the approach lane. Despite the aforementioned this is a gem of a site with great wildlife and the only noise breaking the peace was a rich and tuneful dawn chorus early in the morning. We only stayed for two nights but it looked even better when the sun came out on our last morning. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking a for a quiet break away in the Northants/Lincs area.
