We have just had another great weekend at Stamford aka Top Lodge, it is one of our favourite sites, plenty of grass and trees so looks less like a car park. Wardens were very pleasant and check in was swift. Site was busy over the weekend but still very peaceful, this time though for the first time we could hear some road noise from the A43 at times. Lots of walks through the woods, which is great for dogs too. Stamford has a great market on a Friday and it's well worth a visit. We also visited the viaduct at Harringworth and we lucky enough to see 2 steam engines travel over the bridge. Looking forward to our next visit now.
