Just a short walk from Southport Club Campsite, you will find yourself in the heart of the elegant Victorian seaside town of Southport. Strolling past the exclusive shops in historic Lord Street with their vaulted canopies and Victorian glass is like stepping into another era. Opposite the site, there is a nature reserve, Victoria Park with its croquet, bowling greens, and flower show in August, as well as plenty of family fun on the nearby beach. The Merseyside campsite is ideal for dog owners, with plenty of lovely walks in the local area, such as Formby beach.
Southport Club Campsite is also a convenient distance away from the spectacular annualAir Show which is sure to delight the young and old alike. Other famous attractions in the area include Blackpool, Liverpool, the Lake District, the Roman city of Chester and Wigan Pier. Southport also boasts a multiplex cinema, located on the Ocean Plaza. All in all the campsite makes for an ideal holiday touring base, with plenty of worthwhile destinations and activities to keep the whole family entertained.

View and BookFrom South Leave M6 at junction 26 onto the M58. At the end of motorway, (Switch Island) follow the A5758, Brooms Cross Road for Southport A565. Follow road for several miles until RAF Woodvale, at second set of traffic lights turn left onto Coastal Road. Go straight across 2 roundabouts and at 3rd turn right, and then right again at next roundabout, onto the Esplanade. Continue past the Park and Ride, and the site is on left in 0.5 mile. From North Leave M6 at junction 29. At roundabout take 3rd exit onto A6, at next roundabout take 2nd exit onto A582, follow A582 to A59, Longton Bypass. Turn left onto A59 and follow A59 until 2nd set of traffic lights. Continue onto Southport following A565., At 3rd roundabout take 3rd exit onto Marine Drive (Coastal Rd). Care to be taken road undulating. Straight on through roundabouts, under pier, over mini roundabout and then take 1st exit at next roundabout, and 3rd exit at next onto the Esplanade. Continue past the Park and Ride and the site is approx 0.5miles on left.

First class site. We'll maintained and very clean facilities. There is nothing more to say about the site We had a issue when our van came of the tow ball. This snaped the brake cable and pulled the electrics cable from the socket. (should have checked it was on properly) I neglected... Show more

The wardens very helpful , we lost power and we had immediate assistance re the fault . Spotless site , facilities great . Location was perfect for walks into town via park or for dog walks . Morrisons 10 mins away . We loved it , fellow campers courteous and spoke when passing . Well... Show more

We have visited Southport many times but this weekend is the busiest we've seen it on site which is overall a very good thing for the club and for Southport. The standards re pitches and facilities are the usual, clean, tidy, well maintained and the wardens very approachable... Show more

Booking in was easy . Friendly staff . A Morrisons just through other side of park . Town around 15/20 minutes easy walk . Cycle paths on The Esplanade . Had great sleep , nice and quiet . There was a festival at Victoria Park adjacent to site... Show more

Beatrix Potter couldn't have been happier with this wonderful campsite, situated between the beach, the countryside, a park with all its offerings and right next to a busy seaside shopping town you could not want for more, felt spoilt for choice.
