We have returned from our first visit to the Southport site and we will definitely be going back. Site and amenities were to the usual high standard very clean and tidy and the staff very friendly during our stay. Walk into town about 10 - 15 minutes which was made a lot easier with the beautiful weather we had. Plenty to see around Southport and whilst we never went onto the front you are only a stones throw from the beach and several tourist attractions. Staff very accommodating on arranging a later departure which rounded the weekend off very nicely. One thing we noted was the way we approached the site which was from the north along Marine Drive. This does resemble the big dipper in a lot of stretches and we found ourselves driving at 30 mph or less to avoid any issues but we were fine...... not so sure about the traffic behind though :) Would certainly recommend a visit.
