Close to town and sea

What a revelation Soutport was. The town has been much improved since we were there about 15 years ago. It was our first time at the site over the August bank holiday weekend. It is a short walk to Morrisons, the sea front, the town, the beach and the sand dunes depending on which direction you take, the club is sited pretty much in the middle of all of these. We had a lovely time strolling around the town, sampling many of the bars/cafes and shops...wandering along the promenade. There was much we didn't a chance to do so we will definitely be returning. This park probably the most busy and bustling we have stayed on with quite a few people busy from early morning (sitting enjoying a cup of tea, taking a jog, walking the dog etc) to quite late in the evening. Lots of kiddies playing. But I think that's overall part of the Southport experience. There was a bit of noise on the Sunday morning from the park next door with people racing their remote control cars from about 10am. The other park neighbouring the site was closed due to some building work, that should be open again in mid September, it should be lovely to wander through on the way to/from town once open again. There are lots of cycle ways, many of which are off the road and we found the new roads easy to navigate. Overall we will be looking to return soon.
