Below standard for Caravanclub
Arrived at site just after 1pm on 21st, told to move forward when caravan moved on and we did that.The guy who was booking us in was very abrupt ,unwelcoming and abrupt! When he realised I was paying by vouchers he retorted “ well most people pay by card” really. We chose our pitch and I went up to reception to pay. We had two separate bookings, again this seemed to be a problem and only allowed to pay my first night. I was really surprised at this because we had the same situation on another site and the lady joined both bookings and I was allowed to pay my full stay.I returned the next day to reception to pay my other two nights....what a difference, the lady and gentleman could not have been more welcoming, just what we are used to when we are on a club site.As far as the Covid effort on this site, differed from the last 7/8 clubs we had visited.
The signage which was on display was as followed: Reception, the signage was printed by the Caravan club which stated only one person in reception at any given time, every other site had a billboard outside reiterating this process and everyone could clearly see and follow, the signage on the door did not stand out... so I don’t need to explain what was happening! Toilets: the only thing which was closed off were toilets and showers, sinks 3 of them were all open ( not closed off for social distance) Kitchen : 3 sinks and none closed off , so I don’t need to tell you what was happening, and again only the club signage nothing more that would draw people’s attention to what they really should be doing.This site was being run as if there was no Covid which I found unbelievable. I wish the club had settled on the same rules for all their sites which would have made it much easier for users, Either wristbands in the buckets or wristbands on hocks and signage over and above the printed signage posted on doors which no one took any notice of.
I love going to the Caravan club sites as everything is usually uniform....and everyone ( except possibly) new members know what to expect.... but I’m sorry to say this site has let you down.
