Just a short walk from Southport Club Campsite, you will find yourself in the heart of the elegant Victorian seaside town of Southport. Strolling past the exclusive shops in historic Lord Street with their vaulted canopies and Victorian glass is like stepping into another era. Opposite the site, there is a nature reserve, Victoria Park with its croquet, bowling greens, and flower show in August, as well as plenty of family fun on the nearby beach. The Merseyside campsite is ideal for dog owners, with plenty of lovely walks in the local area, such as Formby beach.
Southport Club Campsite is also a convenient distance away from the spectacular annualAir Show which is sure to delight the young and old alike. Other famous attractions in the area include Blackpool, Liverpool, the Lake District, the Roman city of Chester and Wigan Pier. Southport also boasts a multiplex cinema, located on the Ocean Plaza. All in all the campsite makes for an ideal holiday touring base, with plenty of worthwhile destinations and activities to keep the whole family entertained.

View and BookFrom South Leave M6 at junction 26 onto the M58. At the end of motorway, (Switch Island) follow the A5758, Brooms Cross Road for Southport A565. Follow road for several miles until RAF Woodvale, at second set of traffic lights turn left onto Coastal Road. Go straight across 2 roundabouts and at 3rd turn right, and then right again at next roundabout, onto the Esplanade. Continue past the Park and Ride, and the site is on left in 0.5 mile. From North Leave M6 at junction 29. At roundabout take 3rd exit onto A6, at next roundabout take 2nd exit onto A582, follow A582 to A59, Longton Bypass. Turn left onto A59 and follow A59 until 2nd set of traffic lights. Continue onto Southport following A565., At 3rd roundabout take 3rd exit onto Marine Drive (Coastal Rd). Care to be taken road undulating. Straight on through roundabouts, under pier, over mini roundabout and then take 1st exit at next roundabout, and 3rd exit at next onto the Esplanade. Continue past the Park and Ride and the site is approx 0.5miles on left.

We come here a lot . Lovely site and love the esplanade to pitch . Everything was as good as always except quad bikes going up and down the road till late at night from the settlement next door . This happened every night . We will come again but... Show more

Been a couple of times now and wardens are great so helpful site is beautifully kept. My daughter has a mobility scooter and likes to go into Southport and sea front brilliant location.

Benn to this site many times , my first time driving our campervan and setting up . The wardens were brilliant especially Peter who came to my rescue. He helped me set up the fridge fill up with water etc. When ready to leave he came to help again .great stay nothing... Show more

One of my favourite sites to bring my dog. Great walks through the dunes to Ainsdale - about an hours walk and can then either walk back or get the bus or train. The dunes are beautiful, very varied flora and easy walking. The site is well situated, about fifteen minutes... Show more

This was our first visit to this site as we were taking grandsons who live not far away. The site is well looked after, neat and tidy. Toilet blocks and other facilities spotless. Just off the site is a park with children’s play area. Also Southport Model Engineers Club has... Show more

Visited site several times over last couple of years. Love the location for accessto all Southport has to offer, and the open space for my grandchildren to enjoy on their bikes safely, whilst constantly monitored by us. Sadly some young children left to their own devices and almost feral .... Show more

Staff very friendly and helpful. All on the flat. Spotless site. Cannot falt in any way. Signing into the WiFi a bit of a pain. But you just deal with it. Cannot wait to go back.
