We stayed at Seacroft this weekend (august bank holiday).
The sales picture shows a position right next to the sea on a cliff. Imagine being half a mile off that position inland across a main road and that is where the site is. We did not see any views at all.
The wardens - when we were welcomed, there was one man who was kind and welcoming, the other was abrupt and sour.
The pitches are very VERY close together.
Worst of all, there is absolutely NO warning about the fun fair that is directly next to the site. It was like sleeping in a nightclub at Halloween. Yes, It finishes at 10pm but that is not a family friendly site in my opinion. My two toddlers could not sleep until very late and it was a Detriment to the rest of the holiday. I felt unsafe hearing shouting and screaming people so close to our caravan.
The pool was nice and warm, but absolutely tiny for the size of the site.
The facilities are not particularly good either.
Such a disappointing holiday for us.
Value for money?
We had been waiting a long time to get a booking on this site as it is so popular. We managed it this year and were looking forward to the break. The welcome was very nice and we were told the 2 available pitches and informed of the request that wind breakers could only be sited in front or behind your caravan and not to the side. We were in the top service pitch area and had a good pitch which had a small sea view and a nice breeze in the hot weather. We did look at the other pitches when walking round and they are all very close together and sloped quite alot, be aware. The toilet, shower and laundry facilities were totally inadequate for the size of the site, 6 ladies showers - often queueing and 1 washing machine - broken down during our stay, all facilities were tired and need updating and had singing or screaching taps in all facilities. The cleanliness of the showers and toilets were not good with dirty showers and wet floors along with large amount of grass. The drains on the service pitches were smelly in the evening. The swimming pool was good and well kept, but again too small. Pleasent life guards and good seating if you did not want to swim but watch your children . The wardens were mixed with some very pleasent and others sour. Wifi was poor and no access on a monday and tuesday both weeks of our stay.
The location is very good - easy walk to beach either at Runcton or Cromer and could walk to Cromer town, bus services available outside the site. Our 2nd week was the Cromer carnival which was very good although some late night music it didnt really bother us. On our last weekend a fair arrived pitched on a field next to the site this was unpleasently noisy to 1am on one night. The height of the rides was also so tall it blocked the view of the sea. Glad we left before this took hold. Dont think that this was value for money, would probably look for an alternative if visiting Cromer again.
A bit dissapointed
We were disappointed with this site. One of the pictures shows a sea view from the site. There was certainly no sea view from the area our caravan was sited. In fact there is a busy road between the site and the tracks that lead down to the beach.
The site itself is tight , the pitches are small and cramped and it lacks character.
The pool is very small for such a big site and it was expensive to stay.
On the plus side the site is a short walk to Cromer. The staff were very friendly and the club house good for kids if you have any.
Not our cup of tea unfortunately.
Be aware
Please be aware that there is a VERY noisy travelling fair in the field next to this site. From 6pm to 10pm every night from 20th August to 9th September there is likely to be significant noise.
I appreciate that there is nothing the club can do about this, but there should be warnings on the booking site about this - particularly as the club charges premium rates here.
The noise is so bad that we are seriously considering leaving the site early, and will definitely not risk booking here again.

enjoyed every minute
When booking this site folks need to remember this is a holiday destination. If you book in July/August it will be busy and there will be children. Therefore expect a bit of noise and activity. We are a semi retired couple with decades behind us caravaning both at home and abroad. I expected the site to be busy maybe noisy and knee deep in kids. It wasn't. Sure if you were up by the club I guess you'd hear bit of music but it was nothing as bad as being rocked to sleep in the Ardeche by a 'singer' murdering Tom Jones. Sex Bomb he wasn't. :) Anyway, people having fun on holiday is what its about.
Pitches: Variable. We prefer grass and got a reasonably large one that suited us fine. Some of the hard standing looked a bit compact.
Welcome/wardens: no complaints. Friendly welcome and they managed to greet us at the barrier without a clipboard and an officious attitude. Felt as though they were there to help.
Block; High season is pushed everywhere. I've seen a lot worse. A.Lot.
Club/pool: Very welcome. Service a bit slow but we didn't have a train to catch. So nice to be able to get a bit of food and have a drink in the evening on site because Cromer doesn't have much choice. The pool was lovely and heated, very clean and well cared for. Very few teenagers on site, it is very much for little ones and families. The childrens entertainment seemed popular.
We were extremely lucky to have such fabulous weather which made it feel very much like 'abroad'. The sea was as blue as the med. This made such a difference.
Site is an easy walk into Cromer. Beaches are clean and dogs are welcome at the East Runton end of the prom.
The only negative for us and its just to note, nothing the club can do about it, is the road outside the site. Its busy and quite noisy and I wouldn't want to cycle on it.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and plan to return.

Great location for Cromer but not for us.
We were disappointed with this site. The pool and bar/restaurant facilities do not warrant the higher price. The reception staff were really helpful on arrival but that is where the great service ended. We had little choice of pitch and the site has little in the way of shade so for a year where a heatwave was occurring this was in no way ideal. Admittedly we did stay during highseason however we feel that due to the close proximity of the neighbouring pitches and the amount squeezed on to quite a small area the whole atmosphere was very noisy and not what we were expecting this being something we were trying to avoid as club members ( competitors sites that advertise entertainment for families have the same sort of vibe). The kids enjoyed the evening entertainment that we chose to attend for our daughters birthday however this was over shadowed when we waited over an hour to be served a basic meal whilst others who arrived after us had eaten and left already. All in all if you want the party vibe that's within walking distance of Cromer then this is a great place it just wasn't our cup of tea sadly.
Unfortunately not for us
We recently spent 3 nights at this site and we were not impressed at all. The pitch we had was awful, right opposite the toilet block & there was no etiquette or respect for this pitch. It was a thoroughfare for everyone through this pitch. When we asked about moving the man at the reception wasn’t overly helpful. He said there could be pitches tomorrow but didn’t expand on where those pitches could be. We were to go round the site looking to see what was available. Some might say that’s no big deal but we just felt it was unhelpful.
The standard of pitch wasn’t great either. The toilet blocks are not adequate for the number of users and they weren’t the cleanest. Although that could be down to the number of users. Too much like a holiday camp for us.
The only positive was the location.
We won’t be back.

Another great holiday spent in a wonderful area of the country.
This is our 11th year coming to Seacroft Club Site and there has been lots of changes over the years but truly think it is about time the change was to the toilet block, to small and inadequate for size of site. The wardens on site have always been unpredictable the two gentlemen on site always friendly but the new team on site Andy and Kate perfect firm but fair and also friendly and can have a goodlaugh with them, should have own site soon hopefully even if they have a transit van ( personal joke sorry). Food at the club had greatly improved this year and nice touch with cocktails 🍸 😀, weather outstanding this year 21 nights 1 day of rain. Overall another great holiday thank you team.
Besides the sea.
Nice warden organising arrivals busy but okay.
Really helpful warden in reception allowed me to change pitch type as we didn't have many levelling blocks.
Lot of children round site with little regard for people or one way system .care needed especially when its dark !!
Toilet block need better ventilation.
Didn't use bar or restaurant on this occasion but handy if thats what you want.
Handy for buses to Cromer and Sheringham, don't expect pleasant drivers !!
Like all sites getting a bit pricy even for members.
Checked other sites along coast and makes you wonder if membership is value for money.
The excitement of our holiday was quickly squashed.
On arrival, no problem booking in, was given a site map and instructions, found a quiet spot in the corner and reported the pitch number to the office to be given a barrier key, I have a small Eriba Troll Caravan and awning, on the instruction it was stated a minimum of six meters from your neighbour, I only had one neighbour as the other side was the fence, I was instructed in the office to go nose in, which meant my awning would have been toward the fence and scruffy hedge,
There are marker pegs I know but nose in this would make my awning entrance close to the fence/hedge.
I paced out seven meters from my neighbour which put my tow hook just outside the markers, in 32 degrees C we set up, this was our first awning assemble it took about half an hour, as we stood back and admired our labours, in a very officious manner one of the wardens said "you'll have to move that your not in the right place" I pointed out that although my tow hook wasn't between the markers I was seven meters from my neighbour, this fact made no sway to his attitude and after a bit of 'tooing and frowing' he said "Ive told you now so its up too you if you move it" I chose not to, considering the effort and temperature. However the next morning a women from the office insisting that I move the one meter and saying "we've taken photographs and sent them to the caravan club" I was also informed now I didn't have to go nose in, the bottom line, we did move the one meter on the hottest day ever in uk.
I felt an approach like 'okay you haven't got it quite right this time but you'll know for your next visit', this would have been more acceptable, well there won't be a next visit for us.
To top the lot I booked for six nights but evidently somehow they had me down for seven, I must admit I didn't notice when paying, on our way home a call came through asking if we had left a day early I said no because I booked for six nights, to be told I had paid for seven but a refund couldn't be given as for some 72hour rule, how convenient. If this is what the Caravan club is about I question my membership, I won't even mention the wifi.
