Return visit after 4 years... maybe not again.

Hello Having spent the last week at West Ayton after not being there for about four years we was suprised how tired the wc and shower block was. The showers on the top level are in desperate need of attention. the toilet blocks were always cleanand the wardens I guess do the best they can to keep them as one would expect, I have to say also I feel sorry for the wardens having to clean up some of the mess left from people who find it hard to use a wc correctly. I also find it very disturbing that adults are taking their children in the male shower blocks for their daily shower and using all three showers at once, in addition female children are also being taken in the male showers by there fathers which I do object to. Our pitch was just along from the upper wc block. it was ok, however the week was slighlty spoilt by a couple who appeared to have family stopping over at the end of the week who arrived on site with a Builders Site Radio which we had the joy of listening to one evening into the early hours ! not to mention their dogs wandering around like everyone wants to fuss them ! It may seem a moan this review, and I dont want it to detract anyone from further visits, the two ther points I want to mention is despite the very nice lady warden explaining on our arrival the strict 5mph rule many thought the roads where a great opportunity to try the speed of their cars out. but hey ho I suppose until another members get injured or killed that will continue. Finally, I was suprised on how unkept the grass was, many pitches had grass in desperate need of a cut, but I guess that will get done eventually. one last point is the pub at the end of the road opposite the lane. brilliant food at great prices. Enjoy your 2017 holidays !
