Welcoming site

Driving round looking for a pitch it looks lovely but trying to actually choose a place was more difficult. A lot of the pitches are sloping or,have overhanging trees (some very shady indeed). In rainy weather the grass pitches get very soggy. If you have a motor home, please don't drive over the grassed areas, the ruts left by one motor home carelessly driving round instead of bothering to reverse were deep and will take some repairing. The loos/showers are warm and clean. The reception and information well stocked and welcoming. Although it's quite a busy site with lots of coming and going it still manages to be quiet and peaceful (at least out of school holiday when we were there). Our only big complaint is the non-existent Wi-Fi. In the ten days we stayed, despite persistent attempts each morning and evening, I only managed to log on twice and only able to actually use it once for ten minutes before it crashed. Do not pay for it. It doesn't really exist. Seaton Electric Tramway was an unexpected treat and Forde Abbey well worth the visit. We learned not to order main meals anywhere. They were always very generous - Devon people obviously have big appetites!
